Hey there! I am having problems with the OpenVPN Connection to the tryhackme network. I set up my own kali machine and i can vpn into the network, but even tho im active doing stuff, after 5 minutes the vpn connection gets timeouted and reconnects, which is kinda annoying cause i have to re ssh into the machines awell. Takes some time until the machines are up again after reconnecting, any workaround for that?

yeah so thats what i'm trying to do, I've got a php revshell on the wordpress site and i have access as the user www-data, i've uploaded my reverse shell as rev.sh as well as the cron checkpoint and execution file, both of which are empty files (see image). so far i get temporary responses, which means i gotta be quick but-- now i'm facing another problem which is netcat, the revshell sends a request but netcat just denies it? I'm really confused, it worked with my current shell but not this one..

I hope this is the right room for account/payment related stuff. So basically i cannot login to my account, it seems it doesn't exist anymore(I cannot request a password reset email, i was able to register a new account with the same email address which is very odd for me), anyway the biggest issue is I'm getting charged for my subscribtion even edited
though I'm not able to use my account. I did write to THM support like 2 months ago but the only reply I've got is use the password reset....:') Is it possible to unsubscribe somehow?

I'm ssh'ing into the box to do the challenges but there's a few different things I'm seeing:

1- sometimes the ssh command doesn't respond so I tried to ping the IP address and it times out for 20 seconds before getting a reply

2- when I'm in the machine after a couple minutes the cli stops responding and just freezes to whatever it was

Hi guys. I've been having issues with deployed VMs in different rooms. After I deploy a VM and wait 3-4 minutes, the VM either is still unreachable (via ping and browser etc) or it becomes available for a little bit and then becomes unreachable again. Has anybody experienced this?

Just ran it and I saw that apparently there were more than one connections running. I'm thinking this is probably because I don't shut down my Kali VM, but save its state, and then when I start using it again, i re-start the OpenVPN, but the previous process might still be running in the background.

Terminate the attack box
Load one of the Kali VMs and terminate it once it has loaded,
Boot the attack box up again.

Yeah you need to use the IP of the machine that you deployed in the Learn Linux room

VMs or downloads are attached to tasks. Tasks are attached to rooms. The VMs are seperate between rooms.

So, I've got kali. Linux going. I have connected to the thm open vpn but, when I'm trying to ping the deployed machine, it won't ping it. I managed to work out how to nmap it, I think it was port 53 was the only one that came up, but it was closed?
Also running expresavpn in Windows and kali on vmware
