I think I understand what you mean now.. Depending on whether you are a subscriber or not, VMs attached to rooms will time out after one or two hours, although you will have the option to extend the VMs life so long as you click on the 'Add 1 hour` button.

no so my connection to the wifi (home) disconnected, then it wouldnt let me join back for a minute or two. Could have been bad timing but i just get worried with these types of things haha. it was whilst I was in the attack box and had a VM setup, used hydra trying to get into the VM to get the flag from the attack box and it happened so im just jumping to conclusions something bad happened but im just checking to see if its a common occurence.

hey guys, I am working on one of the challenges ctf's named lookup. I ran the nmap saw that port 80 was open, but when it try to access the webpage at http://10.10.46.191 (with or without :80) it shows its having trouble finding the site. I notice DNS does change it to lookup.thm, but it doesn't connect.

I have tried using the vpn from my kali machine and tried from the attack box and it show the same thing. I think something might be broken with this challenge. Just wanted to let you know

oh yeah, give me a few minutes I terminated the machine ill boot it back up and send some over.

This is what it shows when on the attackbox and the vpn. I am able to run ping and nmap and it shows positive results. I also tried in a different browser and it shows the site can not be reached.

I generated a new VPN file and started it using sudo openvpn vpnname command. It connected successfully to the network and curl 10.10.10.10/whoami replies back with correct ip.

However when I start a machine in a room that has a port 80 open, It is just stuck on loading the site. So, websites to attack are not opening.

Is it me or El Bandito is working pretty bad? (I'm working from AttackBox)
A lot of times enumeration does not return anything or only some endpoints
If I open elbandito.thm:80 it says "The connection was reset"
8080 is working and I've managed to craft the request to get the response 101, but a lot of times it ends up (the same request) in 502 bad gateway.
I've to terminate and restart it to try again, until it gets stuck again.

I've also found a video where on :80 and :631 there is content. I get only "Connection reset" and "Bad request".
It's three days that I'm trying to do it and restarting it a lot of times, so it's not a one-time thing.
Anyone else have experienced this?

Hey all... I just wanted to ask, if anyone is facing any such issues like me?

So, whenever I am using my Kali with the Openvpn connected to maybe to the server of TryHackMe while solving something, at a irregular internal of time, the connection seems to be going off, I mean the VPN stays connected itself, but then I can't access the machine or be able to intact with the web application that I was interacting of that room, so, today, I was recording a video as a part of my YouTube of the Robots room, and it really became too much frustrating to keep refreshing my Kali's network adaptor (basically to dis-connect and connect back) and also to kill and conenct back to the VPN file to be be able to continue what I am doing. I have had this since a week, but then I was thinking that is due to my ISP or my windows acting weird or maybe Kali requires an update.... but today, I did everything before I clicked on the record button, I restarted my router, restarted my laptop, updated my Windows, update my Kali and everything, I even checked the DNS Setting of my router, it is set the default one which ISP uses

Now, doing some troubleshooting, I see that this issue is only in my Kali, like the Network seems to be stable in my other computers or even this host computer, I am able to stream, I am able to attend meetings and all those things without any such issues, so I think no issues with the ISP or router..... is it with the OpenVPN? ha I also tried regenerating a new file and then tried with that also..... so... yeah, I am stuck here with this.... can anyone guide me, help or any thing like that?

not sure where you live or what openvpn profile you're using but you could try another location. there are multiple options to download. some work for me, some don't. worth a shot perhaps 🙂

Is anyone else having issues with answering questions and them not being counted? My streak hasn’t gone up despite me answering several questions. I’ve reported it but wondered if it was just me?

That's just a temporary dashboard graph problem , your streak and yearly activity won't be affected 🙂
