I was directed here to ask character design questions:

So, I'm trying to design a winter armor set for a character who is predominantly black and red. He is a gloomstalker ranger, which means I wanted to prioritize him blending into the darkness, but thats not exactly possible in 3 feet of snow.

Because his main colors are black and red, is it better from a character design stand point to maintain that theme in a winter armor set, or would it be better to make him an armor set that better blends in with snow and rocky terrains (blue and white ish)?

I dont have a design yet to show for it yet, but it would help me think about a design if I hear some feedback

First D&D character and one of my latest ones.

First one is Jett Blakk, glam metal rockstar bard. Originally created for a 80's and sci-fi themed campaign, he's now a fully fleshed out OC featured in a story I'm working on writing!

The second is Rhazari Embermane. Barbarian. Her race was inspired by a race in a gacha game I used to play but stopped, and it boils down to fire wolf people that smith and forge fire-augmented weaponry within their volcanic region they call home.

I have been slowly working on my pixel art skills and I wanted to share some creature designs for a future D&D sci-fi campaign I'm working on.

Basically its a mixture of Godhusk: Rebirth, Scavenger's Reign, Rain World, Risk of Rain, and the Flesh Pit National Park. Its set on a planet overtaken by a living factory that has evolved the ecosystem to be its own living functions like organs and cells.

Here are some of the creature designs - they are my rough first attempts and I will iron them out and spend ages polishing them!

This campaign has a whole mechic of instead of having magic items players Godhusk style remove their limbs and replace them with weird organic or synthetic limbs which can be destroyed and replaced

And a lot of these guys will be able to be killed and scavanged for more limbs

@slim warren Hi guys this is my first ever character design I've ever done. This will be my first time playing dnd and I wanted to show someone my character bc I love him so much.

He's a druid who when he was little tried to turn into a animal but failed pretty bad and turned himself into a sentient mushroom creature and was banished from his village do to this. Once he became a mushroom he found a village full of other mushroom people but he was kicked out again for being a poisonous variant. Forced to be a wanderer, he decided to sell acorns to the lazy squirrels for a living and carries a stick dagger to defend himself from the mice and birds of the forest. Once he became part of a adventure group he started to use his small size to his advantage and would throw acorns at enemies or sneak past without trouble. He also is a thief so he can pick locks and is a master of disguise and stealth.

If I need to tweak his backstory or anything to follow rules or something please tell me because idk If a DM will accept that a druid forgot how to shape shift but any feedback is greatly appreciated! (And yes since I can't draw I did base it off of to make it for more more with my character
