Which part of the metamorphosis was the hardest to figure out?

The decsion on whether it should look liek a humanoid after eating so many or a dragon. i went with the dragon design because in my homebrew the false hydra will eat the apex predator of the regiona nd take its form, so in this case it would be a dragon btu it can be anything, but i still went to a humanoid form since the party sent the dragon to the shadow realm where one of the gods of destruction was locked away, and so the idea was that the false dragon would consume the god and become a false god, its last form.
which i will post tomorrow.

i spent a week on the false god idea before choosing the dragon, since i remembered its inspirationw as bugs i thought well bugs change so i decidded a butterfly or moth woudl be a good metamorphsis and so it became a dragon.

The image may look a bit strange, thats cause i cant upload it since its alot of memory(idk why discord wont let me) so i screenshotted the image in photos, The final design of the false hydra is the false god, after consuming the fallen god it forced itself to moult into a new form, with the ability to reshape living things into minions or weaponry ect. the spear is one of my pcs, who wants to play a new character(cleric) and wants to fight the false god till he dies, so hes going to have pretty good fight.

Lace was tricky, trying to think of how to do something so delicate and flimsy as lace as a weapon. But then I thought of making a garter knife, something more a piece of jewelry than a weapon, I feel like this would be a good knife for a warlock or sorcerer

(Also this is technically a dagger not a sword but shhhhh were not focused on the semantics in the Zelan household)

This moth worked at a manor about 700 years before the events of COTN. While working, this bear kinda just appears randomly in the wood shrouded areas near the manor. One day, the bear walks in, sticks it's mouth in a portal, and its snout appears out the other end enormous and disfigured lengthwise. It destroys 2/3rds of the manor, and sucks the moth into the portal for the entire duration, unaging but conscious the whole time.

My D&D character, a witchy winter Eladrin Necromancer, his staff is also a battle scythe made of twisting wisteria wood, rosewood , obsidian, embedded with amethyst and opal, and growing thriving wisteria and roses. His skull charms are made of the skulls of small magical creatures strung on wisteria vines and rose thorne from his staff axe braided into cord. There are medical charms made from amethyst sewn into his robes and embedded in his spell book

i used to do exactly the advice i gave you, and I used my thumbs/fingers while zoomed in to the image to trace the image I was drawing. its gonna take a little practice i think but if the software you use has a Stabilization feature then you can use that to make your lines look smoother

Yes, It's actually inspired by the default skin in Dead Cells.

I also made this as part of one of my homebrew projects. It has 7 forms (2 base and 5 ascended), 1 rune map and a prerequisite token, currently only 1 form, the rune map and the token are done and only the token is in colour.

I use my iPad and the Sketchbook app. It’s not the best set up but I wanted to make sure I stuck with this before throwing a ton of money at tablets and programs. I do recommend paying the like 5 bucks for the pro version of the app though.

Only buy a drawing tablet if you know you'll use it. Not all drawing tablets have visual screens and most just act as basically a trackpad for a monitor. Also know that a drawing tablet will only work on computers, not ipads or phones. I love my drawing tablet, but it's also super expensive (was about $300)

they have a big range depending on what you're looking for! My first tablet was a small wacom one, I don't know what this type of tablet would be called but it didn't have a screen which made it substantially cheaper than my current one which is a XP pen artist 12 2nd gen

Alongside this, if you have an ipad or something you don't need a separate drawing tablet, just need a pen/stylus

I think if you're looking to use your computer for drawing starting off with a screenless tablet is a good idea to get a feel for it before jumping into a larger investment. My little wacom tablet lasted be over half a decade and was still going strong when I replaced it, I only replaced it because I was looking to start taking my art more professionally, definitely wasn't necessary, so they're a good little investment

I do love owls, recently got to hold a barn owl at a birds of prey centre,

Most associate Osana the goddess of the moon and the hunt, the so called 'lady of blades', with ravens. Though there is a highly dedicated sect of hunters which call themselves "talons" these warrior priestesses of Osana are known for their connection to owls. These Talons are fierce and ruthless hunters of the wicked and depraved. They are most known for their unusual weaponry, that being a dual bladed sword with a shield in the centre, some of these have become highly decorative.

But that did not last forever, one faithful day they were infected with the venom of the Eldritch beast Darethnox, this venom twisted the god over eons, lowly driving him mad and twisting their body into an unrecognisable abomination. Their shining sword, Polaris, the guiding light, suffered the same fate, corrupted and consumed by writing mass, this blade now drips with the same horrific venom which corrupted the once most beautiful and kind of the gods.

Spent a little bot of time thinking about how to make a bubble into a weapon, the I thought about Cavitation, the effect which occurs when a pistol shrimp snaps its claws to create a jet of water. So here we have the bubble sabre, pull the trigger and release a concentrated stream of water by bursting a bubble in the claws pincers
