"quality" is a hard thing to actually define when it comes to art, it being subjective n all. Aslong as you're posting an art piece that you genuinely put an effort it, you're all good to go 🙂 But if it becomes apparent that you're doing the "haha ms paint art bad on purpose" memeing, that becomes a problem i reckon

made a concept design of this temple guardian idea I have for my campaign. Now I haven't shaded it yet, but the idea behind this construct and those similar to it is that the temple they reside in's interior design is pretty much just a hodgepodge of shapes and colours, a bit like the whiteness's pyramid tech from Destiny 2. If danger lurks in the temple, then the shapes will spring to action, forming into vague forms of guardian constructs controlled by strands of black tar and red fire

You can make a super cheap wood stain with white vinegar and steel wool. Immerse the wool in the vinegar for a few days, give it a shake, and brush it on! You’ll get a nice grey that goes darker to black with each layer.

to know if something is AI u just have to check simple steps:

weird hands
weird body proportions
something in the face is odd

I see none of this in that drawing, and I believe the "random glow thing" is on purpose as a magic effect.
Also in that drawing the body position is very stiff and consistent, which normally is the opposite of AI ones

I would say these are bad critia for spotting AI pieces. The best method which can encompasse those critia is intent. If something makes you go "why would a artist of this quality do this?" That's probably AI.

Commissioned some art of one of my D&D characters a little while back and finally got the finished version. So happy with how this looks, it's awesome!

Aster Greyblood was a mercenary who worked protecting trade ships. His wife did the same - however, the ship she was on sunk when a sea monster attacked it and by the time Aster's ship reached the wreckage, her body was nowhere to be found.

Aster swore vengeance against the monster in question, and later discovered (through an audience with the demon lord Dagon) that his wife had definitely perished on this day.

What he doesn't know is that his sorcerous powers that awakened some time after her death are her powers, transferred to him as she watched over him grieving.

Character: Venus, Elf Warlock of the Great Old One
Venus is host to an alien parasite. Wrapped snuggly around her neck and burrowed into the base of her skull, the worm has empowered her with dark magic, forming a bond between her and an unknowable creature from beyond time and space.
Her enemies had tried to use the worm as a means to torture her, but realizing its power, Venus seized control and emerged victorious, a warlock imbued with alien magic.

Hi everyone, im in the process of developing a book of battle maps for Gms to use at the table. Essentially it would be a spiral bound book you could open out and have a full, play ready battle map. I wanted to ask everyone what they thought of this map list which should make up the entirety of the book. I wanted to have a few in different settings so you could feasibly use each map in a category like "lava" for example to fill out an arc of your campaigns

It has water and food coloring to give a base color. And the resin mica powder in it to give a swirl effect when you shake it

#

However until we get edible mica we seal the corks with clear superglue

#

But we've always wanted actual potions we could drink to use in dnd sessions. But for now we have a table with just variants like this

Aliros is a kind and gentle soul who used to have a bit of a temper problem. He's calmed down a bit since he has gotten more in touch with the peaceful energy of nature, but still has little mercy for evildoers (death is a natural part of life) and will do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of the innocent.

I'm making a bunch of weird yokai-inspired creatures for my D&D world, most of which have the goal of adding insult to injury, appearing after a weather event or natural disaster and then doing something annoying or harmful. There was one I just couldn't find a fitting image for, so I had to make it myself.
This is a Dirty Vandal, a plant-like creature that appears after a dust storm or sandstorm and makes drawings in the dust/sand left from the storm. They wheel around drawing lines in the sand on the ground, and they use their finger to draw on walls and windows with dust/sand on them. The brown and yellow sphere on their hand is their eye. Behavior is inspired by how people draw stuff on dirty car windows.

The goblin woman stared across the campfire at the group of misfits. She had been travelling with them for quite some time now, and she desperately wanted to tell them her secret. But she couldn’t. It could prove extremely dangerous to her and the whole party’s safety. Wielding hemocraft is no laughing matter and she was able to play off the whole “lighting her sword on fire” as a runic inscription. Poor blade. Had some random markings scratched into it as soon as she was able to do it without alerting the party.

I've honestly not attempted armor before so I dunno whether chainmail is right or if it's meant to be full plate, how much detail and grandure is too mich etc etc

i mean for a first try it looks great, I suggest looking to existing armor pieces from history & stuff for distribution of armor components (aka where are the pauldrons or how big are certain pieces), but if you're doing fantasy armor then honestly just go nuts and draw something that fits the character personality & fighting style

I've definitely been trying too! As far as hiw grand it is I've just been given the go ahead to go free with creativity.
The peice is for my DMs coDMs pc turned npc, we're level 20 and he's literally become a god so if I wanted I could but him in full gold armor..
