I am đ
a casual DM and players at home games that only follow what is on paper, are gonna be confused when they show up for a real convention
I'll be printing out and highlighting the Greg Marks blog page for irl games, for sure
Its a safe bet that the folks that update the Players Guide FAQ are providing those Qs to the Players Guide peeps too
I imagine some amount of balancing act between wanting all the answers spelled out and wanting a managable size Players Guide
It is implicit, based on the language elsewhere in the document that specifically calls the Marks of Prestige ârewardsâ; it is in the section about declining advancement. MoPs are rewards and not random, ergo included under the general rule that DMs can get them. That said, I agree that it would be clearer if they just added âincluding Marks of Prestigeâ to the guide.
Yes, DMs can get them
It also says if you decline advancement you donât get any rewards, except MoP.
But as Greg said, DMs can get MoP. đ
Hopefully, there wonât be more people interpreting the Guide to mean they donât get the Prestige just from mistakenly reading it. Not everyone goes on Discord. đ
DMs.... always MoPping up
The nice thing, is thats easy to fix
even if they do it wrong, their players will still get it
and they will (naturally) own the content so its as simple as going back and adding the mop they mistakenly omitted
So true.
Which is a good thing.
Persoanlly, I just love seeing the content out there for a wider audience
it would help that the app allow the adventures to be shown.
but otherwise it works while using a web browser.
That always takes time
Most modules, after the release, require the app to receive an update
Thereâs a workaround
Click the navigation in the top right corner and navigate away from cover and it works fine
huzzah! it worked!
Hello, Im relatively new and want to be able to plan online. Where can I join for the Legends of Greyhawk?
Im aware that i may not have all the right channels added.
LoG is still primarily convention focused so online wise there are a few places running online conventions.
With the content now starting to be released on DDB itâs popping up in the usual online places as well.
What are you looking for, happy to help
I just recently made a dndbeyond account and have been messing around with a few characters. I saw they had a community tab for online games. Thats when i noticed log?
My brother is starting back up as a DM and im looking to dive head in to get caught up.
Going from a proffessional crayon eater to being able to nerd out judgment free is quite the challenge for me.
Jump in and play some games! Best way to get a feel for it IMO
If you are also looking for conventions, it looks like the community page only shows the live cons. There are some online ones too. Take a look at https://www.legendsofgreyhawk.com/ that Baldmangames put together before the DnD Beyond community page were made. It has some soonish online cons listed.
Mainly id like to start online play due to my never ending travel situation for my job. Thats where im struggling atm.
Im gonna need a break down. How do I join?
For LoG, you need to make a character following the LoG Guide. Then just sign up for LoG games and play them. Keep your log (as noted in the LoG Guide) and level up your character as you play following the LoG Guide rules.
There is no registering a character or anything like that. All required record keeping is on your side (BMG does have an option for their stuff online, but it does not replace your need for a log).
Can you DM me? I think Ive done some of that just still have a few questions.
Just ask here. I'm in and out of meetings so if I can't answer, someone else will.
thank yall i appreciate it
If you find interest in the specific convention I linked, "Iuzual Suspects April", then you can find more info on their tabletopevent page.
(and eventually find a link to their discord, with more specifics regarding tickting and such)
so i went to DDB and made a character in their creation section. When i went to find a game it just gave me discord. Thats where its information overload for me.
Yup, you need to find a game by yourself, DnD beyond wont help you with htat- they only point you in the general direction
(that is this DnD discord- maintained by those that makes DnD)
From here you can find people (like, Jack, JT or me) that can point you to conventions were games are planned to be played later this year
Awesome, thank you so much guys.
Yeah, I see that now. It just sort of dumps you in this discord.
Other than the conventions listed on the website, there are online games running. The link posted earlier by Glom is for a convention running online games this weekend. They are starting to run online about 1 weekend a month.
Baldman Games runs VDDW once a month as well. Next one is May 15-17 - not open for badges/tickets yet.
And if you get stuck and lost on any of the online cons for LoG, you can always ask around here, or the con specific discord. Most people are pretty friendly and will get you pointed in the right direction.
Just make sure the character you create complies with the rules in the Legends of Greyhawk Players Guide. Not everything D&D Beyond will allow you to do is permitted.
Hey there Legends and LoGers!
There are a few tickets left for our Online Legends of Greyhawk Convention running this weekend!
You dive in to one of two wonderful Ursnt storylines
- Southern Discomfort {Delija's Vault, Behind Enemy Lines, United Front} ((Playable in any order)) [Military, Defense]
- Murder in the Fields {Billet's Last Sermon, Murder at the Manor, Stonebrook Mystery} ((Playable in any order)) [Investigation, Mystery]
Whether you are brand new to LoG or a grizzled adventuring veteran these storylines offer exciting opportunities to explore the Duchy of Urnst and either defend it from a massing army of ogres or investigate mysterious murders.
Here is the Link to the Tabletop.Events Page If you want to attend this Legends of Greyhawk event!
After checking the website, this is actually still unclear to me: Can anyone run LoG games now? Can I run LoG at my library, if I decided to? And are the adventures published on dmsguild like AL, or somewhere else?
the ones published on dndBeyond can be run by anyone anywhere now yes
no problem :) it's less convenient for printing out to run irl since it doesn't have a pdf option, but it is handy to run it in maps since I think those are already set up
I am sticking to AL for my part, just got a question about getting the adventures in Warhorn for scheduling.
The link to the shop for the only released three-adventure module is found on the new https://www.dndbeyond.com/en/legends-of-greyhawk
The header "Find a game" have conventions, local store but forgets to mention that you can play at home
Although it has a link to this Discord, that is something.
Also, no, we do not expect the LoG content to be on dmsguild or elsewhere at the moment.
So... going back into dndbeyond to read through the recently released "Legends of Greyhawk: Elemental Evil Rising", which I purchased when it came first came out (btw, the path on dndbeyond is misspelled "B -> Sources -> Dungeons & Dragons -> LEGENDS OF GREYHWAK: ELEMENTAL EVIL RISING") and now I'm seeing the same adventure listed separately as "Legends of Greyhawk" (both show as Play Bundles). When I go into this second one, also titled "Elemental Evil Rising", it sends me to the purchase page. Why am I paying for the same adventure twice?
Make sure youâre syncâd?
Yep, all synced.
Similar. I can see 2 versions. One I can open. The other it wants me to purchase.
I had that issue for a while but then it later went away
I'm hoping that the "Legends of Greyhawk Play Bundles" item may eventually contain the "Elemental Evil Rising Play Bundle" and whatever comes next.
okay, understood
Is there any established lore about the seven elder bardic colleges in Greyhawk? I know in the Forgotten Realms they kind of borrowed the same concept of Falataer and the concept of the seven elder bardic colleges, but in the Forgotten Realms I think most of them were destroyed or lost. I can't find much about them in Greyhawk Lore, other than that Fochlucan College may still exist in the Gnarley Woods south of Dyvers. Is there much other so-called "canon" about the other elder colleges in Greyhawk and whether we think they would exist in 577 CY ?
If you go to this link, theres a section about lore that tells you waht's considered official lore for Legends of Greyhawk. Hope this helps! https://www.legendsofgreyhawk.com/frequently-asked-questions/
The duplicate LoG in your library should be fixed!
Sure looks that way! đ ...Thanks!
Is it possible for the adventures here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/log to link to the library versions? It did at first launch and now it goes to the store instead when I click anything
Actually, what's even weirder is they are the same links but if I don't traverse to them via library I get kicked to the store every time
I have to go through library to somehow prevent that
I see the subtle difference in the links now...
Anything with /dnd/log/logeer goes to store https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/log/logeer/village-called-hommlet
Anything with /dnd/logeer goes to adventure in library https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/logeer/a-village-called-hommlet
I'm back and can help @thorn yacht keep an eye on this channel.
I hope y'all had some great adventures while I was gone!
Welcome back!
Thank you!
Welcome back.
Been having lots of fun. LoG is now publicly available, so even more adventures being run which is great.
Lovin' LoG. Welcome back!
Just a heads up for all those who have been asking about the DDB Drops and if they are, or plan to be adopted for LoG. The current answer is no, they are and will not be used for LoG. Rules items that appear in books, or if something ends up being Greyhawk specific, it will be revisited at that time.
Thank you, Greg!
thank you!
Thank you, Greg.
Also - just as a general - how I think it will go down - do not expect frequent and quick updates on campaign documents - everything that comes out or is announced doesn't need a quick knee-jerk reaction (do kids still say that?)
Statements of understanding - sure - those are easy - officially updating the documents? I see that more being a quarterly or seasonal tempo - give things time to simmer and settle first
Knowing the tempo will greatly help us set expectations for anyone who asks. Thanks!
Just ran the first of three games of Elemental Evil Rising ||on SPG||
đ
Hope your players loved the Teaflingers!
They did. I had a lot of fun with all of it as well. One of the players went to talk to Edyth, and she just exposition dumped all over... just love this game.
Edyth is great for that!
where do i find what LoG games are playing at GenCon?
They are in the event schedule for GenCon. You can find it on GenConâs website.
I thot so, but it has not been searchable and I thought this group would keep track of such things
Please turn off pings. It is searchable. Search for Greyhawk.
You can also search for Legends of Greyhawk, if you want to search for Baldman games as the Company/Group.
okay, I ignored the obvious track and just searched for greyhawk and they popped up. thank you
what is usual xp for tier one?
XP isn't used in LoG.
i was looking to see how many modules it would take to advance to level 5 (tier 2)
10 adventures. That is in the LoG-Guide. It is one adventure per level you already are to level up, max of 4 per level.
XP is not relevant to leveling.
okay, thanks again
The Players Guide can be found at this page

Is there rule for Wizard characters to copy spells from another Wizard's spell book?
I think it comes down to DM discretion about whether you have time during the adventure to do it, since thereâs no DT.
I've been able to copy spells from other wizards in various games without issue. DM approval is really all that is required, outside of the gold costs
I will also say as somebody that DMâd some of the newer stuff, LoG appears to be making a solid improvement in placing spell books in the adventures specifically noting wizards can scribe X spells from Y source.
If folks are looking for some more glorious Greyhawk Action, Iuzual Suspects is running their 4th online Legends of Greyhawk convention at the end of the month:
Iuzual Suspects May
5/29 - 5/31
Featuring a level 1 intro adventure, two waves of adventures set in the Lordship of Isles (6 different adventures) and a Multi-Table special. All Tier 1!
If you are looking to get to Tier 2 before Summer Con season, Iuzual Suspects is Happy to Help!
Oh the wife is away that weekend. đČ
and where is my next Beyond adventure drop
we are all wondering the same
Looks like it's up! "Tales from Turtleback Cove." Lordship of the Isles time!
is it out? link please o3o
Its showing up for me.
huzzah! thank you
No problemo!
I know the Legends of Greyhawk Specials aren't currently in the pipeline to be publicly released, but I would love if that could happen in the future! It's a shame to have so much lore and story inaccessible to the home and game store audience. Epics eventually became available to everyone in AL, and I would love that to continue with LoG. If for some reason they just can't be, an in-depth story catch up to help with lore and what not on the website would be extremely cool.
While it might be nice, the Specials generally are not key parts of the story.
Also, not all Epics are available to everyone. Some must still be requested.
Only the old Epics, before they realized it's a nice thing to make available to everyone.
Promising Voyage in the books!!! Great Adventure
Finished up the new 3. All great. Love the story! I got the special tomorrow and then the long drive back to Indianapolis.
Glad to hear that Momocon is treating the Legends well!
The items for said adventures have been made on DDB and I published the late last night, so feel free to find them in the Homebrew section if youâd like!
Your the best!!!
Question about the new release "Tales From Turtleback Cove". It says it for Tier 1 (level 1-4) - same as Elemental Evil Rising. Can I adjust it for Tier 2, ( I mean sure, I CAN), but is that allowed in the Organized Play? I'd like to continue my current campaign with it, but don't want to keep the players stuck at Tier 1...
No
The LoG rules do allow you to decline the level progression of an adventure, although if you decline the progression, you also have to decline the rewards (you can still receive the MoP though)⊠or they could always use different characters, and you could add those other characters as flavour NPCs to your main campaign
If youâre just playing for fun and using the log adventures to build a home campaign, you can do whatever you want.
If you are trying to stay legends of greyhawk legal, no. You could only play those adventures at tier 1. And your players would need 1 adventure to get to 2nd two (more) adventures to get to 3rd, and three (more adventures to get to 4th
Playing through elemental evil rising and tales from Turtleback cove would get your characters from 1st to 4th
And then theyâd need four more to get to fifth
Yeah, in the LoG rules it takes 10 total adventures to get from level 1 to level 5
thank you
Not knowing whatâs releasing when, Iâd expect itâs going to be awhile before we get tier 2 releases.
The following waves have played in public and came before tier 2
- domain of greyhawk 1
- wild coast 1
- highfolk 1
- Ferrond 2
- Urnst 1
If we assume (and itâs a huge assumption because anybody that knows isnât talking) public release order bears some resemblance to con release order, tier two home play would be toward the end of the year
is there a way to play LoG in an online forum?
Absolutely. Baldman Games runs Virtual D&D Weekends monthly, Iuzual Suspected have a monthly online con as well.
With LoG out on DDB thereâs plenty of folks running online. I have a play by post cruising along myself
If you play on line in keeping with the rules is that still considered official progress? Could you show up at a tier 2 event later in the year with a character and play?
LoG can be played anywhere as long as you follow the rules. Log your plays and follow the rules for advancement and your character should be fine for future adventures it meets the requirements for.
Correct. Cons, local game store, your home, friends basement, or online. Follow the rules - have a blast- plat some more.
Hello all, do you think it would make sense to open up some session of LoG in France ? in french or english ?
I have been running a few campaigns on that universe since 2024 rules and start to have a small community here
I think long time ago part of the lore was for outside of us no ?
As I understand it, there are no rules against running LoG in another language (someone correct me if there is an English only rule?!).
As to which you should, you could always test your local player base by offering one or the other or both for a bit, and see what is embraced.
There are no rules I've ever seen that call out LoG needing to be played in english. And now with the content being available for home play, there is nothing stopping anyone from reading it in english and translating it to the players in another language.
End of the day, as long as you and your players follow the LoG Players Guide for characters and leveling (unless you are incorporating the adventures into a home brew game), you should be fine đ
French Legends of Greyhawk would be great! It is awesome you have a community of Greyhawk fans!
Back in the Living Greyhawk days various real world regions were assigned certain regions of the Greyhawk setting. I believe France had Ekbir.
In any case, welcome to the campaign!
Great thanks- is this régional thing Still ongoing ? Or not relevant anymore ?
No longer relevant
Ah Ekbir, where I retired my then oldest LG character đ
will there be LoG at Dungeons and Dragons: Fan Expo London 2026?
Not that I know of.
