Most debates are blame worthy instead of praise worthy ,
u can be on the right stance and be portrayed as wrong to the audience due to lack of communication skills. A good debater is basically a good "showman" or a good "crowd gatherer" who knows how to get audience attention with all these tactics and stuff which is all not in the right spirit of debating.
Also most of the times ur audience is ignorant and they just think the person speaking more or speaking more confidently is right instead of listening and evaluating by themselves.

I've always been really into algo design and software engineering from a young age, and this actually made it so I had a little bit of an advantage because of all of the time I've put into that for the last five years or so

And yeah I agree on the A level CS side, I've been solving A level pseudocode problems to prepare for IGCSE, and I think that this is definitely a good move

Just the simple A levels paper 2 questions seem to match up pretty well with the type of stuff they tell us to do now in IGCSE

One thing i wanna add tho , dont blame everything on bad mental health if ur gaming all day long. I had to quit most of my gaming to fix my mental , now everyday i wake up and study until noon then go the gym , eat , then study again , go for walks , chill more out side when im not studying , i only game for max 2hrs a day if i do play. If you think ur mental health is going worse remove long gaming hours , it helps massively.

Okay so I did something very stupid almost 5 years ago. This can a be a bit confusing so sorry about that. I feel extremely guilty about this. We had this huge family drama from our mom’s side between us cousins with our secrets (about us having boyfriends) getting out in the open to all of our moms and things ended pretty bad. So it all started with my big sister snitching about everyone to my mom. She ‘also’ mentioned about one of our cousins from our ‘dad’s side’ that she got a boyfriend too but my mom didn’t let my cousin’s mom know about it ever. But I like a little b**** was close with her and I told my cousin (from my dad’s side) that my sister told my mom about her having a boyfriend so my cousin got a bit mad but I told her not to worry about it because my mom won’t tell anyone. Also my big sister doesn’t know that I told my cousin that she spilled it. This was years ago and my sister changed A LOT and she’s definitely not that same person she was BUT my cousin thinks otherwise I think. Me telling her about this drama in my mom’s side and that my sister was the one who started all of it which included my cousin’s boyfriend too, it really didn’t leave a good impression on my sister. I feel it more because it’s been a year my cousin got married recently to that same guy and sometimes she posts a bit ‘revealing’ pictures on instagram which would be ‘scandalous’ to my dad’s side. So what she did recently was she unfollowed or blocked my sister on instagram BUT not me. Because it’s obvious right? She’d think my sister would snitch about all this to fam? But I wouldn’t? It’s pretty obvious on my mind. Now my sister noticed it and shared it with my mom right away that she got removed from instagram and now they both think that because I’m the hyper one and I used to always try to be close with my cousin, she kept me in the good books but not my sister. Mom and sis both didn’t like at all what she did. Sis was obviously hurt. I kept quiet the entire time.

I feel very guilty about this whole thing. Even years later, it’s still a mess and none of them have a clue what I did. She’s my older sister and she’s not being respected but I get a different treatment from my cousin to which my mom really dislikes so my mom told me not to be close with her.

What do I do? Coming clean is a an absolute NO because my parents and my sister will NEVER take this the right way and things will end BAD.

but from what i can tell your family is super conservative

and honestly my way of dealing with it would be avoid anything that causes confrontation and move on, and when you have real independence

you cut off the toxic people (obviously you might not want to its upto you and what you feel is better for you)

coz you havent done anything wrong here

so what you had a boyfriend

how is that anything to create a drama over

youre feeling guilty coz youre a good person

but nothing here is your fault

I think resting is important too if youve been going at it for a while probably getting sick is a sign your body is telling you enough is enough , take a breather lest you get more sick

I know exams are around the corner and you are feeling the heat but remind yourself its not the end all be all your health is the most important thing as long as you did your best you should be happy with urself and is no reason to get sick over exams
