The points come from your daily goals. Anything above the final milestone for the day counts towards the Buffer Time event.

Are you sure? When I read the directions it very clearly states "Complete daily objectives to earn daily points BEYOND your final daily milestone." I didn't accrue the points for the last event until after my daily objective of 260 was reached.

Interesting..... I wonder if it's a scoring glitch or difference in servers. Either way, it's a fairly easy event to finish as long as you complete your dailies.

It's fair to say that all of the events they ever put out have weird wording for sure. They never seem to make it simple, they try to make it flowery and cute rather than direct and succinct. There's always confusion on how to get things done. They need to bring in someone who knows how to get points across directly and who is willing to write things in a technical manner rather than in prose.

You would think that with all the money they generate from this one game title alone that they would be able to afford to bring in competent staff to write the event descriptions, and to have properly trained software testers making sure things work before being released.

All daily objective tasks (ie kill hostiles, mine x, complete away team, use exocomp, kill swarms, build, research) give points towards your daily milestones. Those same points score on Buffer Time. The milestones for Buffer Time are designed to start giving you rewards after you've earned enough milestone points within the event period equivalent to one full day of daily milestones.

Eg: if you are ops lvl 35, your last daily milestone chest is at 255 milestone points. Buffer Time's first milestone for level 35 players starts at 265 points. However, all daily points earned in the event period go towards the event milestones. Daily points redemeed before event started does not count, however, since events reset at 9AM PST and daily tasks reset at 9PM PST, you should have two day's worth of dailies to earn points towards the event milestone.

EDIT: They originated outside the US, but recently moved all their operations to CA and incorporated in the US. However, that didn't stop them from firing 150 of their employees due to a slowdown in growth. That kind of history does not bode well for the company and makes me leery to do business with them. I've had credit card numbers stolen before, so I'm extra cautious when it comes to online payments.

Auctions will always be optional. It doesn't really matter how many there are. It's up to people to choose whether or not to do it or save for something else/better. At least with a bonus refinery too, there's something everyone can take advantage of.

It really doesn't matter how much you save for any event when the whales just simply crack open their wallets and break out the CCs. On our server, 41, there's is no real way for a F2P player to win an auction. We have far too many CC warriors to deal with, especially at the upper levels. I spend money on the game, but I can't afford to keep up with the guys who drop $5k a week on this game. I gave up on the SLBs after the last one I won. It cost me so much money to win it that I swore to never do it again.

They get harder as you get higher. But so does everything in this game and every other game ever. In the great scheme of things, auctions really aren't game changers anyway. It doesn't affect you really to not have a new officer for example, than only a handful of other people managed to win.

Which ones did you win? Were they grinding events, or mats and rss events? Grinders can be won, depending on your server and your bracket. However, on whale dominated servers, the mats auctions are virtually impossible for F2P players. There's nothing nonsensical about that. You're just denying what everyone else has know for a long time.

The slb started out as an xslb that didn't work. So my upgrade of rnd dep to lvl 43 didn't count in the slb, only in the sms. Now support said 20 minutes before event ends that they are trying to add those points but of course that never worked and now I got way lower rewards than I deserved for the spend I did

From what i heard on our server many don't have Data yet through all OPS levels. But that's only Feedback from a part of the player base. However, you guys at scopely can simply do an analysis and check which players have been already active when he was released and dont have him yet unlocked. Also checking which players are new since its release and do not have him is another KPI to use. I can imagine, that only a single digit percentage of new players was able to get data through a lucky pull maybe.

Just give us different ultra recruit pack choices, all with 1-2 arcs worth of officers, depending on the amount of officers, and let players choose what groups to pull from. No loss of lucky pulls, no watered down pools, and wait a month or two after an arc storyline is finished to allow event winners to enjoy a small amount of exclusivity before people can start grinding for them.

However, the folks that know how to get the most out of away teams will definitely appreciate having a higher tier Burnham. Purple Burnham is a staple in my away teams rosters. The higher she is, the better the crits and rewards from "Lead Expedition."

This weekend's officer recruit SMS & SLB (as well as the events) was ill conceived. There was no economy for mats this month except for those received through the refinery, armada chests (if you had the tokens to cash in), LR & Cerritos events, or if you purchased packs. I'm f2p and I'd love the opportunity to get Harrison shards but it's unlikely. Harrison is also an officer that by now should be in Ultra recruit product mix. After 2 years I doubt that anyone else on my server is going to purchase Harrison packs. Scopely has milked this officer to death and barely any f2p players have him considering the last auction for him was almost 2 years ago. Scopely promised its players a fair turnaround on premium officers. This isn't it. Offering us another auction for him doesn't guarantee f2p players will actually get him and that isn't what was promised. It's time to add him to the Ultra recruit product mix. Tell Scopely to stop yanking our chain.

Out of 160 officers, 37 require independent credits (23%). 15 of the 37 epic officers are independent (41%). Every month they add officers but fail to take into account how the player base will b3 actually able to use them to their for their full benefit. Currently I have more tban half a dozen epic independent officers waiting for promotion but I'm never going to get to promote many of them this year because I can only source 175 credits a day. What's the point if I can't promote them?

I CURRENTLY need almost 50k coin to level 7 officers. 2 t4 epics need 10k each, 2 t3 epics need 5k, and the remaining three are t4 or t5 blue or green and they all need 4k-5k. Not counting the ones I just saved for or the several that are a few shards away from adding to the problem.

There is no connection with the player base and some choices lately, like Rom, show just how much of a lack of understanding there is on the dev side. Combine that with constant SLB and SMS events that can't be completed without spending or major planning and it's clear that all that matters is how many packs get bought and nothing at all about the content or the experience. €8m in revenue - in last 30 days , the company could spend $1Bn last year in a M/A and is currently valued at $5.4bn so I would think revenues are in the near $300m per year range. Costs - assuming the dev team in Ireland are on average Irish dev wage of €75/80k per year (I think the game industry pays lower but I'm using my local knowledge as a benchmark) and the dev team is 90 devs (again an assumption , most likely that number is lower) - thats €7m per year. Where Scopely are making a loss is in the other 20+ games they have . 3 make 4m+ a month the rest make between 5k-900k per month

Yup. My brain broke and saw three days of APEX and thought it became a normal three day after all. Still though, armada spawn rates are horrible right now which causes lag, multiple launches of the same mada, and frustration.

Better eclipse armada spawning would be nice. Currently it's 10 mins staring at a system hoping you'll catch one spawning, just like everyone else is.

I saw no reason to level the treasury unless I'd hit an increased daily milestone, eg. 20, 30, or 40.

Once I had enough I just leveled it, it's not worth risking lower daily payout for a chance of an event

That's normal behavior for Ferraria, the node moves there. It sounds like that server's issue today is that the node disappears and nothing reappears
