If this was asked I apologize, The Memento TNG tokens are they useless once the Event ends, or could they return in the future?

The reason I asked is could there be future TNG events that the tokens can be used for.

this is event store loot. we've RARELY seen it return. actually ONLY example of it coming back was Borg store. i'd definitely recommend using it before end of the store. but it will last it looks like 7 days beyond end of the arc. it's currently showing 15 days. so i don't usually recommend spending til near the end so you know what you can get, and budget properly to get full unlocks of whatever you need instead of anything partial.

i think what would be accurate to say is that we expect the same amount of free stuff as previous experiences (aka other event stores). I've been tracking the amount of currency given against previous event stores, and this one is paying out worse. About 20% worse if the pattern holds over the final few days.

Add to that most players want these stores to unlock the officers that will disappear for basically forever after this, and it leads to a level of frustration among the player base.

Expectations are a very powerful thing.

The only pattern is that the rewards have been getting worse. People (including me) have talked about this before. The number of factions hunts between arcs was decreased. In a recent one we had ONE faction hunt day. One. Then when they do the faction hunt in game that is advertised as 'the same' the rewards are always intentionally reduced. So your argument here is undermined by the facts. It's not about "more free stuff". It's about putting the stuff that was accessible to all behind another paywall. And that is a trend that has been noticeably increasing.

I think the issue is the slippery slope.
First we had faction hunt only between arcs.
Then they added Fh in the arcs without a ticket (once if memory serves)
Then we had FH in the arc as well with tickets, 1 was free.
Now we have FH but without a free ticket.

Yes that is what I'm saying, a few months ago we only had FH between the arcs. Then they added them to the arcs and the first time wasn't ticketed, then they were with 1 being free. At lvl 30-39, it's hard to put it into monetary values. But at higher levels, where you have to pay to play, it's easier. For those in the 42-50 range, they're exchaning part of a $100 pack for roughly $15 worth of value and hours of their time.

It doesn't scale exactly to 30-39, but the trade off is similar. It's a bad event.

They should just delete the worm systems completely. They were rubbish when they introduced them, made worse with the addition of armadas, and they’ve not made game play better in any way. And they are the worst type of system for a grindy hostile event. One 40 system, low spawn rate, and the next best system is still token locked.

Ultras don't have Chen shards. You can buy the standard recruit chests using latinum, I think it is 80 latinum per chest (400 for a 5 chest pull). Everybody I know eventually dropped a bunch of latinum to max Chen once they were close enough, but mostly I play with non-free players so everybody might not have a lot of latinum.

did you level to 32 during this bp? if so then you're locked into the lower level version without keys. The only way to get keys in that case is to contact CS and see if they'll be willing to give you the mission keys, they've done so in the past for some people who've leveled to 32

The piercing, mitigation and damage ones apply to Eclipse hostiles only, and so do not affect the strength number of the Stella - it's "invisible" power. And lots of it.

Some have no impact at all to the power of a Stella, e.g. Highway Robbery, Stella Warp.

There's also a big difference between dropping a new unannounced auction without affecting any planned/announced events, and changing a previously announced auction on the spot. The same principle applies as to why this is not a move that we want to encourage from Scopely in the future, regardless of whether the change is to have more or less shards awarded. If we give them a free pass on this then it's just going to keep happening.

(To me at least) STFC is a game that relies on a lot of planning, and spending aside the players that do well and to a certain extent enjoy playing are those that plan well. But we can only plan as far as we've given accurate information

The auctions are designed to get you to spend money…. They don’t care about your progression, or about fairness. They have made it perfectly clear through their actions that they are not in it, for the long run. Hence they don’t care how many people quit the game. The want the cash now and when the whales have no one to play against any longer. They will reduce the number of servers, forcing whales to compete with whales on other severs. They will all spend like mad to stay ahead, but will eventually hit a breaking point and stop. Once that happens the servers will shut down and SCOPLEY Will introduce a new game. Rinse and repeat.

the missions are designed for 35+, but you could get them if you were 32 at the start of the bp. If you leveled to 32 during the bp, you'll have option to buy the missions from the event store, but missing the currency that's usually awarded in the bp. You'll need to contact CS to get those keys/missions if that's the case.

Not a fan of hiding lore behind level locks, but this last part of the story was a bit weak so maybe you didn't miss much. That said, I've rarely seen missions come back so you're kinda out of luck on seeing the "ending."

Thanks for the recap. I wasn't too impressed with the story after the first battlepass to be honest. Lots of plot holes and such, unless there were other ops locked missions I missed out on early on. But I guess I'm asking too much for a Pay to Win game that is glitching half the time. Other than my alliance, the quests were really the only other thing keeping me going with this game. Otherwise it gets so boring and repetitive.

They also did bring the November 2019 mirror missions back in December 2020 for the end of the Discovery arc. Which may have had to do with people asking (at least, I know I and one other person talked to customer support and put it on surveys before; others might have done the same), or with the end of the Discovery arc also dealing with the mirror universe. Or both.

The ionic and refractive beams are completely separate projectiles that just happen to share one type of shard. That’s like complaining you spent your officer xp on one officer and now don’t have it for another.

The only actual glitch is that apparently some people didn’t even receive both shards when they bought the chest. If you got both and spent one on the wrong projectile 🤷‍♂️

I made the same mistake Swimming Pilot did. The mechanics of unlocking it are not clear, although obvious in hindsight. There's a big giant sliding scale right above the unlock button, most of us didn't even notice the other requirement above that in a smaller box. And knowing projectiles stack I just figured I'd unlock both while I was in there. Seeing as how scopely must've given us a bunch of those freebie shards a while ago without the epic shards, its not surprising a lot of people did this. It was our fault, but it's not clear at all either.

@dire lance So if you have the ships you want, and have currency left over don’t save it, better to use up what you have, specialty ships like Stella, Vidar, dvor etc are good to get while you can to speed up getting them if you don’t have them as you can only get half the bps needed for them, getting Normal ships Bps are not the greatest use of the currency, officers are a better option in the store, but it totally depends on your situation,

Because normal faction ship bps are relatively easier and cheaper to get from faction store and also the new Away Team store also

But as I said, each persons game situation is different, but balance short term and mid term gains with what you spend

For the Data Shard, you need Physicist, which you have 0 points in. White traits are traits the Officer has but not unlocked yet. Blue is that they have them and have points

It’s a matter of prioritizing. I haven’t purchased anything other than the 2nd builder/research queues. I have DuPont at Scientist 3, which means I only use him on Away Missions that have a scientist Crit boost. There is the opportunity cost of not using DuPont for other missions because he has higher stats, but that’s the trade off
