The deception over the research particles is just about the last straw for me and has me seriously considering just quitting this game. Have I ever spent money in this game and not felt cheated? Maybe the elite track on the battle pass. Can't think of anything else. Here I just locked in 2 factions, 3rd on the way, am about to unlock a cool ship, but this kind of crap that happens month after month after month is wearing thin. I'm out of spoons.

The problem is faction used to be three separate milestones for free and now it’s one for free and if you’d like to do more, you can buy tickets for real world money. It’s an obvious problem.

B) The Meridian Skin says it "unlocks additional Isogen refinery options."
👉 But achieving B does nothing for A. That is deception.

There was one less day of faction hunt than usual outside of the last arc. This is semantically different offering the same rewards but with less availability. Anything moving towards pay to play should be concerning to you.

the Resin is refined in the Territory Refinery, Resin is unlocked by building the new ship. The skin unlocks additional ISO refinery options by unlocking an extra chest. The skin does not unlock Resin and the discription does not say that it does

I got lot of prime resrch. every battle pass. got francking a got now meridian but if I grind it's for free but to pay to grind hostiles for hours forget it

Yeah, I hear that. I’ve gotten similar responses about things in the past. The support folks aren’t the ones who can actually change anything so I try not to be rude but unfortunately the only way Scopley seems to hear the player base is if they get flooded with feedback. Even then it took multiple bad armada events to change the timers.

It's not pay to play, we were told that they go from event to event and that they wouldn't be handing out enough for all of them, you were never entitled to all the events behind tickets...people should have been complaining every day when they first came out, not after something they like came out in the ticket event they want...or just save tickets when you get them in events you don't want to do

Now on what would be a third day, it’s virtually the same event but in the form of tickets. It’s a pretty clear trend from a company that is very clear about extracting revenue from players. I’m not sure why you’re defending a micro transaction company but go nuts.

As I said before. It's bad optics. One of the most liked events is faction hunt. You could always do all three of them without any sort of tickets. Now, because they are liked so well they are adding them into the arcs at a cost. Some look at this as, hey more chances of faction hunt. While others see it as a way to monetize a good event. They should've renamed it for the ticketed event imo and it wouldn't be as much an issue. Additionally, it's not even labeled as a ticketed event in the official battle bridge event descriptions they released today. That has the additional feeling that they are trying to monetize a well liked event (Looks like it was a late decision to switch it to a ticketed event and therefore not be able to do all 3 like we are used to), maybe it's a mistake who knows. Definitely bad optics

I think it's a matter of need balance. I for one chose to do every gas event because the stupid refinery wont push out more than 7 uncommons on a double refine..

So if the only way to get the roadblocking materials is in an event, then I think I have to do it.

That is your choice...and when they first came out they told everyone unless you pay you won't be able to do them all all the time, after the amazing rare Prime Directive ticket events I kept a stack of tickets for other good events that come out, if they did

And I wouldn't have killed them to make it a non ticketed event. The only reason they seemed to have done it is to get people to use up their tickets, or buy more. Over time you'll run out of extra tickets if you don't buy them. That's what they want by putting a well received event into a paywalled category.

Apex has never been in place of a faction hunt and there’s no reason why they’d interfere anyway. Also, these faction hunt ticket events show up in a tab with the previous days and the alliance lb so they’re obviously connected. Stop making excuses for Scopely.

There is already swarm sun there, move it to Sat. Its not a huge event nor does it take long, but why not space it out

This is kind of my issue. People griped that there was too much going on. OK, at that point I would say that is when you can make a choice to do some, all, or none. But the scopely response was to move everything behind tickets and to take all the choice away from players who may have more time some days to do all of them

Yes. It shouldn't be hard with a good company to figure out how long it will take a person on avg to do an event at each level. Then have a total time for all events that day not to exceed a certain time. Let's say 20 mins for a reg event. 45 mins for a better rewarded event like faction hunt. Make it no more than an hour per day. Something like that.
Yes you can't say everyone at a lvl will do it at exactly the same time, but with all the metrics they collect, it shouldn't be hard to get a good avg.

While we can't say exactly how many parts are in this one I believe that they did say that this would be the longest one yet, and we are expecting based in the Q&A at least one more part to come still (could be more, they don't explicitly say).

Yes this is the problem the lower level players have. The away missions pay so little. Same issue as when they released the away mission tree. The pts to finish the event were the same as higher level players but the away team payout is lvl based and small players get very small rewards for an away mission

My first time seeming rescue the crew at lvl 36. At lvl 35 it was easy could complete it in PvP space killing a dozen npcs but now at 36 it seems too much of a grind. Do alot of players skip this event 36+?

I'm level 30 and my open system is Blys, there are those kind of armadas there... I started one since nobody was there to PvP and got 30M points for it.

I'm asking because I don't want to be considered as if I'm taking advantage of a bug if thats not what was meant to be

Yes I have 80 million points too. I'm sure lvl 35 it was something like 15m so a huge jump. Also the hostile crew doesn't work against boss ships despite them being reds. I had a better result with morale crew

The PvP side the system is full of lvl 41 ships so I have no chance against them

Yeah, right now the mission bundles don't show if you are not in the right level so the event store might appear empty. Looking to see if we can reduce it so everyone can collect the missions to save for later (as players here remarked).

Today’s Battle pass event is absolutely horrible for average players. To get the 35M eclipse points it will take 5 kills then 3 hours of repair time, then repeat 4 more times. Doesn’t leave any time for daily’s or the other daily events or to sleep or for work so you can afford to keep playing this game. Is Scopely trying to get more people to quit or fork out even more money to buy another specialty ship that is only good for one thing?

what is the difference, relative to the event that we are referring to, in warp range between the pvp system and the pve system that are available for the event, given that in the beginning of my sentence i made it clear that warp 120 is an unattainable warp range for the majority of players within the level group for the event when compared with the pvp system

For now those events are for P2P players. You have to get that new ship before you get a refinery button. Which will be by the end of the month if you get all the Battle Pass points.

Research is good, but can depend on what you're prioritizing. It may have been good to delay the ops level. Personally I usually have dual focus on research and ships. For now a 28 faction ship will let you advance ship power fastest. I hop eyou have faction creds saved.

Any tips for rescue the crew SMS? Ops 39 with T4 Enterprise as biggest ship but I use T7 Intrepid for hostile hunting. I tried killing the 35 mobs in the "regular" systems but I'm only getting like 1.3 million points per kill. Need 80 million to finish so thinking there's got to be a more efficient way.

They all have mixed weapons, so the battle triangle will matter a bit more than normal. On a T4 Enterprise, I would recommend PMC or perhaps PMT on L35 Interceptors. Try both and see which works best.

In the PvP systems they give me 5.5M points.

No, but when you cut corners to not pay for staff to fix bugs and expand the game to address what the players keep asking for over and over, then you squeeze that much more profit from the revenue stream. I mean, look at the what we didnt see from the recent LCARS cutover. It would have been easy for scopely to step in and take over LCARs with minimal overhead in people to maintain it, but somehow it was not able to be worked out. With $50M in revenue in just over a quarter, how could they not have just solved this?

I dont think people will quit over LCARS, but it goes to the company philosophy. Compare this to the Timelines game as an example. The Tilting Point people listen to their customer base and implement things they ask for, not things solely focused on increasing profit margin only. It's a balance. Scopley does not seem to see that side of the at all as evidence by your cost barrier example in both time and $.

But in past arcs you'd get the one-trick ship somewhere in the middle of the arc together and then could use it for the remaining events. Here you only get it at the end. So anyone not spending is screwed on the entire arcs events that rely on the ship.
I bought the ship cause I thought that having 2 in the end is useful since babysitting is needed anyway and it makes not much of a difference if I babysit one or two of them.
Then I realised that I got scammed again since these also require special warp components which I then have to buy again for the second.

so eventually there was at least 2 vidars free, and people bought the first one, so theres people with up to 3 vidars available to build

thats when the Battlepass was first introduced, so the points to finish were a little tighter, now we have a few days grace period to finish at least the main BP.

@cedar plinth yes I can use both. But a lvl 48 gives me 16 points of which I can kill 20 at a time between repairs. To out do that I need to kill 39s at the least. Issue is I Can’t kill that many with Baby riker as captain

Baby Riker as captain killing 35s and 36s should be easy

Baby Riker, Moreau, Chen against explorers will do pretty well.

2.5x points means that 36s pay 25 points each

regardless if given a free ticket for faction hunt or not, rewards are never worth it to even waste tickets or money on it. It should never have become a ticket/paid event as it hinders progress for players.
Especially when it doesn't even give officer shards or anything tied to the TNG event arc.

NG Riker is good enough to give you the points that you need, and dropping down to kill a few smaller hostiles to finish the event isn't a big deal. Just finish your dailies with your normal crew and then swap in NG Riker and drop to lower hostiles

if you're referring to the change of the rogue trophies to apex research medals and those that completed it before the change, it's not an exploit if those players were unaware it would be changed and it was a mistake in the first place. The devs don't tell us ahead what the rewards are suppose to be and rarely give us info on things ahead of time so it isn't an exploit at that point.
