I might level to 28, just to get that extra faction mission. See how that goes. At the moment, I am getting 12hr to 3 day missions, some of which I may just let refresh. I am not sure exactly why lvl 30-33 might give me more rewards if it takes so much longer to get them, with a greater chance of failure

The assignment hunter milestone event looks like it would take shear luck to complete. Had missions running from morning refresh. Not all will finish before event is done. Those slots that will finish have the built in 11h 58m delay before starting another. So, unless I draw an 8hr mission those won't complete in time either. Who at Scopley thought this would be fun?

42 - 50 this was the PvP system (below). However, ops42 can't technically get to W120. Moreover, the PvE systems were also in W120.
Apac who guinea pig the arc for the others spotted the error. Thus Scopley added lower warp systems to PvE.

No sense in trying to rank as a 36 and the rewards are negligible anyway.
The research Elite event is a complete no go too

When the timer is bugged you can't use the tokens to manually refresh, but I believe there's also issues in using manual refresh if there are no available missions to start (some advice has been to not start one mission, but this doesn't make difference to me with the timer bug still).

hmmm, cosmic cleanup would be easy to finish just killing hostiles, rescue the crew is kinda an auction but could kill for points but again likely money to score high, brothers event is server so just have to kill some faction messages to participate no money required- could also mine lat but would need a d'vor which if you don't have enough time on server will need to buy, recruit laforge is really an auction and not likely to place without spending money, away teams is the tricky one - if you haven't started right away and spent speed-ups - not likely to finish unless you spend for some speed-ups, assignment hunter is alliance so you will need a good alliance that likely will spend money - but can do free but likely won't rank high,

Life happened, 2 year old had a meltdown and missed the reset window on the away missions by 3 minutes. Because most missions are at 12 hour intervals, I've got a 5 minute window to finish the missions or buy speedups. As a result I've got 3 missions that I have to wait another 12 hours to run.
Having to set an alarm in order to play a new game feature is ridiculous, as well as having such a short window and rigid timeline to follow. I can't imagine having to wake up at 4:55 in California just to participate. I thought this was the reasoning behind the 22 hour timers on most of the daily boxes and rewards

Also i thought the point was to encourage people to use their useless officers. So instead of raw power, how about it being tied to promotions. Thus you encourage people to promote and lvl up useless officers and then we can not waste all our most useful ones. Commander V for example would be a lot more useful than a Ensign

That's what I try to do. However, sometimes life happens and things more important than the game arise. Today I came up short by 3 minutes. No regrets, my son is way more important to me than a mobile game will ever be. It is just disappointing.
And in my experience they have to be collected. One of my missions ended just before the reset, when I collected it 3 minutes after a new mission did not populate

What happens if an assignment is in progress when it refreshes?
It won't give you a new assignment for that slot, nor does it queue up a new one for when you finish it. If the assignment is completed before the refresh, then you will get a new assignment in that slot. Having the completed one there, uncollected, won't block you getting a new one.

Example:
a) if it refreshes in 1h, and your assignment finishes right now, you will get a new assignment in 1h when it refreshes, and that finished one will be sitting there ready to collect as well.
b) if it refreshes in 1h, and your assignment finishes in 2h, you won't get a new assignment for that slot on that refresh.

Yeah, I think the confusion is that you don't have to collect the completed away mission for the new one to appear, it's already there. So I have 6 listed total right now, which is my max, but this morning I had 9 listed (3 waiting to be collected).

I guess I'm the lucky recipient of a bug then. I can have 6 at a time, had 2 that were uncollected, 1 finishing 1 minute before the reset and one finishing 1 minute after the reset. Neither one gave me a new mission. My plan was to hit them both just before the reset, I have to start the new ones within a few minutes of the rollover or else I have to burn speedups.

That's the one that didn't reset, which according to the Q&A should have. At this point though unless I got an 8 hour mission out of it I'd just wait for the reset anyway.

Beginning of today’s talking trek, DJz said you can use a speed in advance so that it does complete before the next refresh. Ie, if you start a 12 hour mission 5 min after reset, use a 6 min speed up so it auto completes before reset. You will get a replacement mission upon reset

Yea so if your assignment finishes BEFORE the refresh and it’s not collected at refresh, you will get new assignment and also able to collect the rewards from the completed one.
Now the timing being 1 minute might be cutting it close to the refresh timer better to give a few minutes ahead of the refresh timer. to cover lag between finish etc.

What is up with the BP event for today? The points required are ridiculous, particularly when the targets go from Lvl 22 (66k strength/43k points) to Lvl 26 (2.4M strength/3.8M points) with nothing in between.

Yep... Kumari (T7 / 35) + P(20%)M(40%)C(20%) + 300/300/300 from below deck + Paraleon for me. I'm letting other folks die and then cleaning up after them with the shields down. Looks like it'll take me about 5 repairs (~15hrs in speedups) to complete so long as folks keep helping me with those shields 😉

Thanks - does Scopely ever play test these events to see how long it takes to grind the non-boss level(s) and what rss it takes to repeatedly die against the bosses? I can't believe the points and rss/speed ups required to complete bp today.

lower ops lvl players should have easier event requirements. separatists boss takes T2 faction ships with 800k+ power atleast. definitely not a kumari !

It’s based on damage done, you don’t need to kill it

And I used to do this event when it first came out with my kumari

Use PMC, go to the fed space and hit the Explorers, wi be the easiest ones to damage

I used to kill bosses with a centy. now using a sally. in 10 to 15 mins event completed

Rom space bosses have most hull therefore more points in less kill there

But if your a lower player the explorers are easier to kill or damage as they are energy only weapons, and with PMC makes them easier to kill or damage.
