There will always be groups of people who can't take part whether that is because they progress too fast, too slow, have limited time so dont prioritise event ships, or any manner of reasons why. You can not write an event that caters for every single person. It is totally acceptable to have an average player in mind and write things for the majority. In fact I would argue that it is the only way to reasonably do it. I would have loved the rewards to be better. I would have loved to be able to kill the megacube in fewer hits. I would have loved to have got any of the skins this arc. That is not the way it panned out. The arc was nowhere near as bad as some make out and personally I enjoyed it.

Not to he pedantic, but I think we were first told the stella refit would be an ongoing thing with the Apex events, then the announcement from Ares said "select " future runs of the apex events. So possibly the refit won't be available every time.

Gotcha, well suggestion if a dev/mod sees it, keep a full unlock for 1st place, but let maybe 2nd and 3rd, possibly even up to 5th unlock enough to finish it off with a Battlepass. That will give us incentive to spend, and make it actually feasible to get for dedicated players. The games a lot more fun if we are rewarded with the time spent grinding out a mission, especially a 3 day mission. Literally some dude dropped like $1k the last 3 hours of this caught up 50k points on me, and surpassed me by another 25k lol.

In short a Stella/Vi'dar/ANY skin shouldn't have to cost more then it costs to feed your whole family for 2 months 🙂

You can only use one slot, I tend to go with Khan. Lets me get 6-7 swarms in one run. I've had to catch up a lot of the research that was unnecessary for my old maxed Franklin too

Research for the Frankie A is key. I was able to take out 9 lvl 37 Swarm with no upgrades apart from the cargo hold. I am level 35 Ops. I was actually massively disappointed after I upgraded the components because it gave me a single additional Swarm hostile at the cost of 3 extra hours repair. 9 1/2 hours now instead of 6 1/2 or so before. I haven't tried a Swarmada yet.

Unless you have high lvl fank a, I wouldn't even bother with swarmadas. We're using 6 seat armadas with 4 900k + and 2 700k+ and it's taking 3-4 goes

Might be useful to note that our score on the in-game leaderboard today hasn't yet overtaken yesterday's total, but the inter-server score shows a total greater than yesterday's already. The two scores don't match, but that could be a delay, however we still have players not receiving rewards from the in-game leaderboard and showing different scores.

The value you receive for that "Impress me" Event (30 Officer shards @ OPS39) is (again) compared to what you have to invest (Rare Armada directives for ~8 Amadas to do Swarm armadas) not worth to do it. Also an Option to reduce the time-efforts for the players. Mayyyyybeeee in the wrong direction for scopely at least, but who knows.

I feel like I am getting the shaft from scopely. I am level 35 and could not participate in the last impress me event but was able to help alliance team mates complete there events without complaint. I rushed everything on the station to get to a level 35 scrapyard (lots of speed ups) meanwhile grinding and grinding and grinding bees to paste. Now i build the Franklin a (lots of speed ups). I am ready to participate in the impress me event so I don't miss out on jaylah shards. Now the lvl 35 event is 100k in armadas (rare epic) . Great finished no problems... but wait others are unlocking jaylah while I am 36 short because I could not participate in the first one. Is there any justice?

They rarely are game changers, but with the new higher level swarms people are finding that PMT isn't always the best option anyway. I'm not sure what combinations you tried, but it might be worth trying PMJ(keep maximum mitigation + hopefully 2 extra shots instead of 1 extra), or 5JKang (loot bonus, mitigation, +1 shot, + potentially good damage increase from mitigation reduction).

This is correct, the swarm but 35-38 with the normal armadas can also do swarm will still give points also if your joining and winning/losing etc I haven’t tried starting, so can’t say from experience if that also gives the points cos it’s still using normal rare directives

Thoughts on the Impress Me event? Personally I think it’s bs that lower level players get to do regular armadas while players with the Franklin A are forced to do the swarm armadas. Especially since the swarm armadas cost rare directives to start.

Scopely posted this and I was doing Swarm Hoards with help from my Alliance because of it. I committed a considerable amount of resources to doing them and received exactly 0/zilch/zip/notta. Scopely’s fabulous (sarc) help desk refuses to even acknowledge the very clear fact that they put out misinformation.

You have 4 or 5 docks takes what 5 secs to click locate, seed out ships in spawn locations switch between ships, or have alliance spotting Armadas for those that need to set.
Rares spawn roughly every hour was 2 day event so 48 spawns on each

Finding during peak is hard but they range from 24 to lvl 38

Also for points can just set Armadas on other peoples Armadas if time is critical so no excuses really

But if you are limiting to just 35 plus Armadas that give 10k plus creds yes everyone wants them

You're right it's optional - but the danger for Scopely is that the more players realise events are optional the more they release the game itself is optional. Because outside events the only thing left at the moment is ever-increasing grind.

Well, it is what it is. If it isn‘t fun, then don‘t play - at least that‘s what I am doing. MS in 3 days is a grind but worth the effort, in 2 days it is a pass - too much of a grind, especially after that abysmal arc.

I don't understand the problem, CoW started on Friday (previous runs started on Saturday) MS started Saturday like it has done in the past, I expected if I was going to get MS it would be today not yesterday
If anything the issue is CoW started a day early

Oh I'm not doing it after this. The conversation is to let people know that these changes are causing long time players to quit the game. It really isn't hard to be consistent in implementation of the same event, unless the true goal is to frustrate users.
