In fairness (if there is any) the other day for the PVP event, the top players on server 26 in the 37-39 bracket racked up points throwing realtas at a dead base in the system that was the pvp system so it was rigged that way. I'm sure they could have found other systems with no hubs to spread out the leaderboard ranges

Scopely goes and changes mission key requirements to fix something crazy that they allowed even though people picking up second mission string and not having done first yet is a bit strange. Then they go and create a new problem with their fix for all the folks who actually did it when they got the missions earlier in the pass. So now if you get second set of keys from pass you can’t actually acquire the second set of missions cause you don’t have enough keys. 😂 @ scopely

Sweet spot would be where the players have access to roughly same strength ships. Apparently I can pvp with lvl 23s as a lvl28. A sally is so much stronger than for instance a Kumari, or even a mayflower that it's just not fair. Same for lvl29s that should battle epics.

There is some “downside” with all the level based reaearch. A maxed centurion of level 35 player may loose from a level 40’s centurion which is only tier 7/8 but with the research is better

My solution - actually apply some common sense before you reapportion PvP bands. Last week there were bitter complaints about lumping in 27-28 with the 29-30 because they were massacred... so this week they decided to up the ante and jam several bands together. If you're going to try and add PvP events to a game that does not really support it, give it a lot more thought. Ship bands would be better than this.

That makes more sense to just have zero points. I was thinking like 20% less points for every level below you. So I.e, a level 40 maybe only gets 20% of the points for hitting a level 36. Not really worth it (or maybe less, but something above zero)

Some constructive criticism of the PvP:

1. If you choose to have it be in a specific system, there are plenty of unused low use systems to accomplish this in. IE: Mordus or Seevor.. There is literally no enemies in these zones to farm...

2. Do not place opposing Brackets into the same system. IE: what you did to Sirius today.

3. Make it so you can not score points hitting ships OUTSIDE of your bracket.

We'll unless you are totally blind or just don't know how to type, there is something called GC. Use it to broadcast out that you need targets. Duh. It works fine last week, the only reason they change is because some brackets didn’t have a lot of competition, probably because it was a lot of whales versus not a lot of whales. So instead of just figuring out a points incentive to tweak it to make it better, or give them better rewards to encourage participation, all they did was sick the high-level players on the lower level players. Which now everyone is staying home or mining #instead of actually participate

Are 40+ players scoring points in the pvp event for killing any player ship entering Sirius? Or only killing the ships within their bracket?
Because the 35-36 bracket and the 37-39 bracket are also assigned to that system and can't compete as they're being wiped off the map by 40+ ships. <@&509691205798592532>

My daily mission for Alliance Unity does not update to the amount of helps given. Even when I do each help separately. To add to this, the current event for battle points requires helps. The pvp event is idiotic. The rewards suck so it’s frankly not worth the effort. Only 7 people per bracket even earn rewards. People team up to kill easy targets and of their numbers. Not really, if 1 of your territories take over time isn't within the event time, but all 5 of your competitors are, then they'll win over you. Also, territories grade also play a role there

Yes, understood thank you. I mapped out all the top 10 alliances based on what territories they had within the event and their grades so we coudl see what we had to fight for, assuming it was based on participation. Now it turns out i basically just charted the final scores lol

There are two ways to fix this:

1. Only same level PvP brackets and point rewards.

This leads to the issue they were supposedly fixing, having some brackets without competition. I think the lack of competition is due to PvP being unbalanced so people avoid it.

But for the sake of discussion let’s say they need to combine brackets to have competition.

Don’t have 2 or more brackets in the same system, and create brackets that don’t give any level an advantage. For example 27 with 28 gives 28’s who have built the Sally/Bortas/Cent an advantage.

Another idea is one I’ve been suggesting for a while:

2. base points off the difficulty of the combat. For example;

Very Easy = -2 points
Easy = -1 point
Normal = +1 point
Hard = +2 points
Very Hard +3 points

The actual number of points can be adjusted but the basic rule of rewarding similar or harder combat while penalizing easy or very easy combat should remain.

The idea is to discourage players from going after only the easy targets while rewarding challenging combat.

I think best way is like they did with the weak ships. Limit the type of ships for each level to a triangle (and they want to push ppl to buy so give extra point on payed ship at the same lvl)

And it should be simple to not have two levels/brackets in the same system! It is not like you don't have enough systems to put PvP in...

The event store for ship bps follows the same requirements as the $$ store when bps are being sold. Which means you can get them at one ops level lower than required to build it, and less rep than you would need in the faction store to unlock bp purchases. I'm not sure precisely what the rep level is for ship bps in the $$/event store though, just it is somewhat less than the full faction store tier.

I believe i have this correct but if you have two territories with the same bonus ability -- ie 3* iso boost --- you should only activate it once there's no "double up" bonus.

They could run it on the 1st of one month then run it on the 30th the next month and that's still once in a month

I can't understand the logic of the developers.

I'm level 19. Why put in the event quests that require level 25 of the player?

I have 20 keys. The Redux quest became worth 25 keys. But to get 5 keys, I need to do quests level 25. Where is the logic?

I completed the second round of missions yesterday after the extra five keys dropped. The Cornered Animal milestones didn't appear until this morning.

Also to confirm that I have the appropriate amount of BP to have opened and cleared the missions.

The ones from the previous Arc stayed for a few days after the Battle Pass had gone. This one might stay as it requires finishing the first ones to get it, not just obtaining the Battle Pass level. Although they may expect people to complete the related Event. Unlike previous missions packs it has no timer on it.

I think if you've earned the tokens from the Battle Pass to buy it then it should stay permanently.

It does work, but only for shields, and only if you're fast. At 62k though you're right, probably too low to take out the targets.

You can double hit. Shield regen instantly. Hull damage will stay damaged. Or visa versa.

there are some oddities regarding Yuki, it can work to reduce shields for the second hit, but it looks like it will instantly regen if you completely remove the shield.
