Truly. At 100 particles per day I was on track to doing all the particle requiring research possible to level 35 by 1 month, except I need iso-smear in much larger amounts. And I am not lvl 35 yet. So yeah. Definitely the long game for Territory Research.

Mirror Mirror is mainly for a handful of Fed officer shards, the other one has ~1k faction credits and 32k faction points for the side you pick

Don’t do maintenance during a 7 day hostile kill event!!!!! I’m furious at all the work I put in for this. Look how close it is.

This PvP Event is wrong in several ways .... starting with the brackets ... everyone was asking for pvp events to have brackets, which would be great, except they failed in creating the brackets...
Example:
Bracket Lvls 33-34 - at lvl 34 the people get Ent, D4 and Augurs .... so what are the chances for a lvl33 player to compete? How many lvl33 players have maxed lvl32 ships/officers to compete with lvl34 ships?
Instead, why not making the brackets based on ships availability:
Lvl32-33
Lvl34-35

So now what people are doing is just ignoring the PvP and focusing on crashing ships to repair and spend tritanium 🙂

Quickest and easiest solution that should've been done in the first 30m of the event is pull it and fix it to a new system

They still allow people who don't belong or compete in the brackets to interfere

Protari would be the central hub

Spokes off of it would be the various level brackets

And it would prevent anyone outside of the bracket from either entering

Which is very easy to do

Do what they did with Territory capture zones but tailor each individual system to only allow combat between the designated pvp ranges

Which is probably the second easiest and ideally the best possible solution to make PvP events they best they can be

And also make it a high warp, like warp 50 minimum

There will always be something we could find to complain about. What about "I just leveled and now I have to fight against those with maxed out ships". I am happy that the developers took feedback and grouped the pvp to more balanced levels. I'm a 28 currently and one of those who lost progress with the restart and am fighting in the 29/30 system. Not the best but better than the level 38 whales killing everything that moves in the system.

So, thank you dev's for listening and trying a new pvp experience. Hopefully the next time will go smoother and be even more successful.

What I find interesting is that they couldn't modify the 27-28 event, they had to allocate the 29-30 in addition, which means the events are largely assigned based on level, and they're different event objects entirely , not a single event with multiple sub-sets

My band (35-36) on Server 15 hasn't had any issues that I know of, and overall I'm enjoying the event. I had one guy want to exchange hits with cheap ships to get a bunch of points; I preferred to earn mine.

-- The trit spend is ridiculous and can ruin a proper PvP event. We need events where spenders can't buy their way to victory.
-- The 5m pts for a kill is crazy. It lets anyone use Realtas or whatever cheapest ship they can get into their system. Just let damage dealt count.

Exploits I've seen:
-- Exchanging hits for points. Two players on opposite teams can just band up and hit each other back and forth with the cheapest ships possible to get massive lead.
-- Hitting bases. The 37-39 band is in Ayvren, a based system, and hitting a base over and over with Realtas gave Win points. One alliance on server 15 exploited this overnight.
-- It seems some folks here are reporting they can get points in systems that aren't theirs, but that might be getting points for non-same-band players. Which I can do in Sirius. Killed a 31, killed a 40, got points.

Pvp event was a nice attempt to fix the server wide pvp from before, but I ran into similar problems in my bracket. No one in the system to participate with. The people at the top spent trit to get there. SLB exclusively for these doesn’t stimulate broad participation. Need a simultaneous SMS to get folks to try to participate.

It’s hard to tell when Scoeply has an event act one way or the other. I considered all AMS acting the same way.

1 like this where is a small one, and when someone gets a qualfying point they will get ALL the rewards,

or the COW style is only get the rewards after the milestone you score before

Yeah after that I pulled a full stop on the progress to that event cycle. Wasn't going to burn any more rss and not have my previous stuff count. I even went so far as to do an early push on my disco stuff before I originally planned just to score. Ended up hurting the progress on the disco summon because of it

Definitely. I'm going to be stockpiling trit properly once I have functional faction ships to take me up to early 30s. 🤣 . Might try to skip up to the 34 ships and ignore the 32s. We'll see.

plus epic ships cost 180k faction credits.. So save now if you want to get them in a reasonable time. They want ya to pay $100 for 15 blueprints lol

@thin pagoda Yes due to the paradox you do it 3 times more.1st pass you let the mirror Enterprise go back to own universe give one set of officer shards.2nd pass you stop it returning for another set. As far as I've got this time,bit of a stretch to remember what 3rd run through was ,will when I see it.There was a flow chart but can't find that so lcars !miss 'mirror mirror' part x give which path for which shards.Jot down the options on first go around then look them up noting the branch to the officers you want.

That flow chart they put up was very handy as allowed people to cover all the combo's .Think I did 1 path twice last year to unlock Blue Spock and all the other officers once because wasn't any close enough with shards available.

The event store will close soon after after the arc has finished. So unless you reach ops 22 in that time there's no point. The next event store like this will not be for months and the tokens will likely be different.
