I'm stuck on the ship hanger at lvl 29. It needs way to much special crystal.
Where are the borg missions? I got through some early ones and then i have to fight a 600k ship on 1 mission and am stuck.
So frustrating to have 30 missions open and all of them are 4 warps out of range. Fight ships more than 2x my lvl. Or need millions of resources.
No progress to be made.

D'vor bps are probably the best value thing in the Event Store; Franklin too, if you don't have it. As for what else, depends how close you are to what you want, and how much War Funds you have.

the concept of the mega cube was a good idea but they made it way way too hard for 99% of the player base

#

also it wouldnt have hurt to give better inert or even charge nano probe drops from the cubes, especially rare and epics which were just not worth the bother given how bad the drops were

now that we've had scopely's version of borg for 90 days (or whatever), I'd like to repost my idea from back in December, and ask scopely to consider player's ideas a bit more

My Big Idea (tm)(c)(pat pending)

Introduce a Borg Cube.

The cube would show up in a random system, and wipe everything... players and hostiles.

The cube would exist for 1 hour (or 2 or 3).

The cube would be hittable by all levels of payers. But, it would be so massively powerful that it would take essentially every player on server in order to kill it.

If successful in killing it, each player that took part would get a percentage of reward based on damage done.

If the cube is not killed, no one gets anything.

After the allotted time, the cube would move to a different random system, with full power.

@cosmic prairie part of my oringinal concept was that it would get the different alliances working together.... can't kill PlayerX because you need his help vs borg cube, and he can't kill you for same reason

On server 158 (I think that’s right) we finally decided to take a run at these mega cubes today. Hitting from start to finish with vidars only we did it and I believe are the only alliance on our server to manage it. Yes I know the rewards are awful and the event has been a blowout but felt right to nail one... super proud of my team as it’s a newish server and we don’t carry huge power 💪🏻💪🏻

As a UX professional at a very high level, @shrewd totem, that’s very poorly designed. A footnote in a lengthy news item within a poorly optimized news view doesn’t count as adequate notice in any product I’ve worked on. Your defense of it is pretty hollow.

Now that the event is over, I wanted to share some thoughts. I think there was a lot of good in this event. The only negative was that it was kind of repetitive. But back to the positives:

Event store was excellent
Rewards were right - not too good, but fair
Scopely got the level of difficulty for the alliance milestones right, finally - CoW was still a bit too hard, but this one was just right (still challenging without burning out players)

remember though @dapper drum in ONE aspect of fairness... the last one we got was in april, and it was a "recycled event" so it wasn't part of the "arc" at the time. it was called fractured empire. HOWEVER. the "Act of War" (january) was their overall seasonal Arc, and it DID have higher rewards, AND an event store, because it was their feature event at that time. as time went on, as do all events they don't pay as well when they are not in their "full content" mode.... ie the feature event.

@nova valley It's not even the recency factor. both COW and FH give rewards that are typically harder to otherwise acquire (via choice, some shards which only offered through event or credits which have less paths of acquisition)

I'm in a similar place with intrepid/augur - but gas just seems slow even when i'm only spending a little for research. 87/150 ent, got the bps/faction creds to go up to 75 D4 & 50 Augur. Bit of a shame you can't focus one a bit more really, once you're triple faction locked they all seem to go up at a similar rate, outside of event stores..

In the past they used to have 3 separate solo leader boards. One for each space. Rewards were good, gave you a lot of uncommons and bps for d3, mayflower, legionnair. Deppending on what faction space you were in.

@spark hazel do you have screenshots to show it? Not from the notifications since those are incomplete sometimes, but from the actual points before and after an attack with specific damage done. E.g. it might show that you got 1 point from killing a hostile and not that you ALSO got 3 points for damage done in solo milestone, and 25 for the kill for leaderboards.

Yes, I noticed that too where the notification bar after the battle indicated 1 point. But when I checked my actual score in the event screen, the correct amount of points were there.

I just checked and the notification shows +1 points but the actual score on the LB went up by 26

There's no reason that they couldn't have fixed it up for current player levels. I think they removed the bonus for using faction ships? 🙄
