people, the leaderboard events are designed that way to encourage players to progress in ops to be able to compete. it’s a marketing trick that taps into the part of your psyche that wants to win/doesnt want to lose. once you understand this, the leaderboard events stop having any power over you
players competitive nature drives a lot of illogical behaviour. a good example is the leaderboard limited time officer events. the rewards look enticing, but actually you get much more by completing the limited time solo events. i have no idea why players dump 5-10 Mil officer xp in a race to earn 4-5 rares when you get 1 rare for 360k officer xp in the solo event around ops 30+. So those same 5-10 mil xp will get 14-28 rares guaranteed thru solo events. but still players burn their xp for a chance of getting fewer rewards in a leaderboard. madness

You only get rares in solo at 32, so before that it's one source for rares, also when you start getting your rares to max and one level is over 1M XP, your conversation rate is no longer accurate 😉

well I'm sure at 34 the leaderboard events also gives better rewards, but in general since they improved the refinery they didn't tweak the events the same way

The Event store is back!! Thanks for that. Question though. Are the BP "Limits" a lifetime limit or something? Last Event Store I got the full limit of D'Vor BP's but did not need the D3. Now in this store I only see D3 BP's but no D'Vor. What gives?

Wish I could get the D'Vor bp's added back to my event store. Unless it was a lifetime max of 40 for whatever it was. If so, it sure would have been nice if Scopely would have clarified that. I wouldn't have wasted the event tokens on the bp's had I known I wouldn't be able to get the rest in later events. Oh well, lesson learned I guess. Even when it seems Scopely gives F2P players a way to get the D'Vor, it's misleading. 🤷♂️

Server 23. Normal events with the event store allow everyone to participate and provide blueprints, res, mats, officers, etc. This one is different, and yours still looks pretty restricted.

Oh well. I guess the Scopely Gods just don't want me to have a D'Vor to aid in my growth without having to pay for it. Whatcha gonna do? Meh Moving on.. Now try to find a Gas Node I lost when I was hunting swarmies (for the event) and my Gas miner randomly recalled when my Franklin got stuck. Then I couldn't stop the recall or the warp even after resetting the app twice. Today must not be my day for Scopely. AND with all these events going on.

You're right, they are. Let's see you need 120 D'Vor BP's to build and get 10 in each 30 Day Loyalty Chest so that's 12 Loyalty Chests needed 12 X 30 = 360 days of loyalty tokens. Yup That seems like a good return of a years worth of playing.

its first mover advantage @low berry - they know some will pay to get to high tiers , regardless of events so they (Scopely) keep the pack amounts and event rewards low for a while to get the biggest whales to pay (and they do - similar to those buying the brand new iphone on day 1 to replace their 12 month old one) .. once more players break the threshold of 38/39/40 you will see reward amounts change and rss available in packs change for example when I started Ultra Station packs had 150m par - they now have 900m par. This change comes under the guise or rebalancing the in game economy - what it is, in reality, is the they can make more now per player at higher tiers while keeping the biggest whales just that bit ahead. So ultimately its about patience or lack of it. the largest want to stay ahead, Scopely milk them until the numbers grow then open the release valve bit by bit

When they released Armadas, they listed a number of officers' and ships' skills that don't work with Armadas (supposedly because they would give too much of an advantage). I wish I had screenshotted it, but I recall Nero's burning and Yuki's captain skill because I use them a lot against difficult hostiles

No, it s stupid. All the armada economy is stupid. Waiting 15 min for a 5 sec fight, the more powerful ship kicking out the lowest, can't choose team, Respawn time, enough directives for 2 uncommon armada a week only, .... Everything is stupid. We have some non English speaker players, some shy one not often in chat too. Every time we do armada they feel left out. but even if they were active on chat, Organising armadas with 30 players or more speaking at the same time is IMPOSSIBLE.
So lot of players just give up of them since the first week they launch them.

The system you described also kicks out little people. By seeing their strenght, you can way easier judge if you want them or not. I do believe though that certain level armadas should be off limits to weak players. They create issues for all.

So the way we do it if you have 1 mil ship and over you dont need to be doing 5 mil or less armadas
5-10 mil is mid players and above that is our bigs

I am getting frustrated. I bought a pack to be able to start epic armadas. I bought it yesterday shortly before the event started. I still have been unable to find even one epic armada to start with the exception of really big ones that are not beatable now. Not very happy.

The way the game events are pushed to me shows clearly that scopely is trying to push a recurring revenue stream.
But so far is etremely saturated, you push so much pay to play content that at the end people like me, who used to spend a bit, just get fed up and will refuse to spend in principle, as it feels an endless pit.
And as other said, start upping up the value for money of the content.
I have reached the point where a single pack doesnt cover 1 ship slot upgrade, that is an abysmal value.

But, joking aside, it would bring new element into game and change our interaction. This game lacks any rewarding and efficient PvP outside of base raiding and RoE across the servers turned it into more PvE oriented than it is.
So enticing players from scopely side to engage in PvP, and one that brakes the rules of community (server) established RoE would bring some "disbalance in force" and from time to time that is exactly what is needed to keep the game from becoming stale

On my server, some people in the 28-29 tier got Military Supremacy events but others didn't... wtf. Same for other ops tiers too

Last ops event I had jf bp's as rewards...saved all my rss for next run as I was short to make 37 in that timeframe...now everyone except 35+ gets an ops event? 🖕 💩 🚮

the last two events : swarn and armada, were about money. Need to upgrade franklin and buy armadas pack to launch rare and epic (because not a single uc were available, also the rewards for UC were crap). And now, no event at all...
