Itā€™s tone deaf. A feature that should be automatic (given the increase in refineries and clicks needed daily) plus I (and many others) have been playing the game daily for probably 6 years think about how many wasted hours that is (letā€™s just say 150 a year) just to collect all of the things. So now, instead of recognizing that effort, and indeed appreciating the effort and loyalty, itā€™s being treated like a cookie for a child who behaves and you will get spanked and go on a timeout if you miss a day.

let's see, at T9 I can spend... 0. And I obviously can't refine enough to do two upgrades to it in two days in order to get to Mark iii.

And I have a Ship Trials SLB that scores huge points on upgrading... the Botany Bay.

The first arc mission: if you choose the option of getting Athena parts, it then requires you build (BUY) the Athena to complete the mission. Iā€™ve been told that if the other option is chosen, the mission can be completed WITHOUT having to build it.
Not informing us about the BUY requirement in advance indicates what a $pit STFC has become.
I now have no way to complete all the arc missions before they expire without an expenditure I canā€™t afford.

Game is dead or dieing slowly dependant on your view..... Money has gotten to the core and lost the love of Star Trek, how sad and unfortunate that the Star Trek universe has developed into this pit of greed.

The Star trek story was never about profit, this game is and I 100% understand that thgame has to make money to survive,; fair enough.

The strategy has been new content, new officers and a new ship now and again(have to pay to get it).

All ships should be free, offices not, boosts etc should not, but ships should be free. To build a fleet you need ships. Free ships would give something to the players. I would love 5 mins with the VP to tell him how I feel after all these years.. How disappointing, how let down I am and how to change STFC...

You can choose as one of the two rewards .. Athena blue prints.. but to complete the mission where you get the reward of Athena blue prints.. you must build the Athena .. complete the quest ..

In other words ā€¦ you have to buy the Athena for 100 euroā€™s ā€¦ build it. The quest is then completed .. and only then .. you wil recieven 6 Athena blue prints šŸ˜›šŸ˜‚šŸ˜œ

I have the Athena and, as you can see, having completed the mission I have 0/200 bps for another one.
I havenā€™t taken yet the promo code, which gives you BPā€™s. Which will sit there.

There are many things to complain about today, this isnā€™t one..

Itā€™s an event. How hard is it to make it appear? I mean, really?
For it to have happened at the start of Pt1 was bad enough, it took a long time to sort out, compensation was needed, manual support intervention was still required for some.
That was bad enough.
But youā€™d think that they would have wanted to avoid that fiasco and fix whatever the issue was so it didnā€™t happen ever again.
Yet here we go again, this will tie up support for days, waste everyoneā€™s time.

Does it happen to you? New bug for mine experience I guess. When my ship logs into a system there is a delay of ~5 sec for the content to show. The same is when I play with multiple ships in different systems / switch between them or check the mining ships, or log into my home system. (EU 135, lvl 53, happens with Win desktop and Android, all updates applied)

What is this day 3 of the arc... and nothing arc related worth my time for OPS 60 or 40... the OPS 40 "recruit" SLB is only for 10 shards with a 40-50 bracket... not worth my mats... the paragon recruit chest are just plain bad... a third of the officers are virtually worthless, half are easily obtainable elsewhere for free and better results...

janeway, unlock to max, is in the augment faction store with the reliant. emh doctor is meh with all the plus loot now. chakotay is a B or even C team armada officer/captain now.

all 3 are also sourced in the exborg faction store with the NX.

OPS 40 has sisko, borg hugh and 5ā€¦ 3 very easily sourced officers through the bajoran faction store, augment faction store, epic borg solo chest and transporter patterns.

OPS 60 has snw james kirk, snw sam kirk, snw mbengaā€¦ all 3 arent really necessary even though i use snw james kirk a lot.

depends on your perspective... Scopely is probably loving the change as they dont have to give anything worthwhile out as a result... I'm loving how they framed all the changes as "we are now going to give out more rewards" so they could try to say that it was a quality of life update. I pretty much knew that they were taking a ton of stuff away from us when they announced the event changes. šŸ™

Agree and disagree, allot of it is how you play the game.

Personally a slow grow OPā€™s 56 and was careful about maximizing the ā€œscrap cycleā€ (building lower tier ships and scrapping them) while focusing on parts and material efficiency upgrades.

Learned the ABS loop from a big in my early days (ā€œAlways Be Scrappingā€) and that concept is why so many G6+ players are furious over first the delay of G5 scrapping and now itā€™s horrifically bad recent implementation.
Thankfully youā€™ve got some time before worrying about that.

Between that and pulling from every single source that could give me G4* (and now G5) resources I rarely ran out.
So by the time I hit G5* I had multiple maxed G4 Uncommon, Rare and Epic ships to scrap which immediately spring boarded my growth.

As a G4 in the lower G5 bracket it can be hard, without question, but itā€™s not impossible, plan to go into G5 with multiple G4 ships maxed and ready for the recycler..

Thatā€™s assuming Scopley doesnā€™t wreck the game further and we donā€™t all rage quit

Why is G5 being strangled out of participation in events?
By either excluding us from events or giving only G4 rewards.

-Last Arc (and I assume this one) we had the Maverick Faction Events removed.
Those who rushed to 56+ suddenly found all the SMS and related events removed (Conqueror, Oblit/Suppressor kill tasks) with the Faction rewards from said events unavailable.
(Confirmed working as intended by Arsenic)

-Last Arc (and confirmed on this one) we started seeing events only reward us G4 materials.
There are multiple events, from Ship upgrade SMS and SLBā€™s, Faction hunt SMSā€™s etc that started rewarding materials One full grade below our current material refine ability.
(Confirmed working as intended by Arsenic)

-This Arc weā€™ve been cut out of the Faction Hunt SMSā€™s linked to the SLB
Finding them completely missing for x2 days in a row.

FOMO by exclusion and starvation isnā€™t going to drive G5 players into G6
Itā€™s going to drive us to Archive or Delete, look on your discord and you will see examples of it, better yet look at the week by week logins and Archive / Deletion requests

Yup we have the same issue, on my iPhone Apple App store, i still haven't had a game update, no updated map, I have an Android Emulator on my computer and it's put me on a different server with an updated map, so I don't know why it hasn't been updated to everyone

The events on the server where my account GulDukat is weā€™re good now they are crap and donā€™t get mining events and the packs are not worth purchasing as to be able to upgrade a ship you need to spend over $300 at a time and the largest ship pack only has 200 interceptor parts. And to upgrade your station you need to spend $450 plus to just upgrade your operations to level24 due to the 3* refining rate is only 1750 at a time and you only get a max of 20 in return, so refining is crap.

i really "enjoy" the new dominion monthly events comming to our servers. in one the best players advances recieve g2 uncommon refined resources and jelly fish components. the other is giving you 5 uncommon g3 refined if you go to 500k power advance. of course the winners will be guys with high level and the rewards will be like giving 50% mcdonalds reduction coupons to millionaires. i believe at this moment we do not speak about scopely ignoring us but openly laughing in our face

Well there's two strats that both work: 1) You clear out everything you can until your ship is about done, and go back to repair. You can do this with a higher level ship and finish in 2-3 cycles, taking about 2-3 hours. 2) You can do ships in your home zone, 1-3 at a time, and repair in between. With alliance help getting you to the 5min free mark you can basically do it indefinitely, but it requires far more 'grinding' than method 1.

All mobile games are for P2W. These things aren't operating on charity...they've got to pay the staff, the licensing, the server costs, the marketing. This isn't a generous donation to the Star Trek fanbase, it's a business model. F2P get to indulge in a product they had no part in helping succeed, while P2W players keep it going, so that both groups can enjoy it.

That being said, this game is still incredibly kind to free players. My buddy hasn't spent a dime, and because he was in a high level alliance he placed 2nd in the cosmic carnage event and is currently in the top spot for this one. Without spending a dime, he's about to get maximum rewards. So the best advice I can give you is be active and go find a better group to play with.

And I totally get that. If it's any consolation, not much is different for us paying players. Mine, upgrade, and look for PvP. If this weren't a mobile game it wouldn't be enough. But it's working out great as a way to waste some time between other games I take more seriously.

There is a balance that isnā€™t met yet to have f2p and p2w both enjoy the game and since nov they have made arse tons of money just off the people I see in my server, and Iā€™ve spent a small amount and will continue to as life allows if the game gets more balance there is no way a level 24 maxed 3* ships paying to win should be allowed to mow over a level 19 f2p player and I also ranked 2nd in carnage event with my alliance and top 100 solo due to activity but it was kinda crap the lower level you were the less you could help your alliance with the event

Although I will say this game has some design features that smartly keep parity between spenders and freebies. For one, a lot of the big whales on my server have surpassed everyone in levels to the point that they can't participate in PvP. My alliance has a few 800k+ players who are too far to join in on any of our PvP activities, leaving the rest of us (free players and light spenders) to do most of it. It's definitely not as simple as P2W > F2P. There is an entire dolphin and minnow middle section that has it's place in that structure too. I've spent about $400 so far, and there are things I can do that are definitely easier and there are also players that effortlessly crush me.

@neon heath Yes, that 100%! I had stayed completely out of the PvP side of the game until my Jelly started costing 8k in Tritanium each repair and upgrades were in the hundreds of thousands. Suddenly a base with 600k tritanium was too important to pass up.

You really need to play more, or rather, take more. PvP at lvl 21+ is almost mandatory to keep up with parsteel. It can't be properly mined (at least as i can see at my rank, t6 envoy still needs 45m to mine a 14K rock!!!!! 1 player base in 5 seconds grants 28K). Bases protect shield, power score up, next base. Vicious circle lol. I would at least be glad if officers worked so we can hunt hostiles properly with increased rewards.

@vital laurel definitely for higher tier survey ships imo. Its already great but both fixed bonusses and officers not working makes it so meh. Choosing lower ranked survey ships just for the bonus mining is super risky due to low power score and protective cargo. Let us customize ships with their abilities. Very much same for combat vessels... Fixed stats are so meh lol and make certain ships either completely useless or obsolete to obvious better picks. Good example is a jelly vs the common t4 romulan explorer. The jelly has combat bonus vs its counter, the explorer just has increased defenses while defending. It serves no combat purpose other than power score. :/

@quick sand. Where i pretty much 100% disagree. Miners have limited protected cargo, so do bases. If you farm, someone else can take it fom you... Your base or your miner. It would only make much more sense to promote farming to make more PvP targets. Loads of low level bases barely have decent resources unless paid for.

No game is solely 'PvP' and if it were so convince me wrong. Any game has build in features that both work PvP and PvE way. This game has perfectly build in features like protective cargo and base raiding but just severely lacks more PvE content to progress and the sole purpose for this is the fact it is unfinished. Look at the market, look at the bank. Features that probably focus on mostly PvE and probably also have some kind of PvP in it. PvP is not bad, it is in fact good and rewarding. Currently it is just 'too simple' without having decent features. Gaining 1m parsteel can only decently obtained by raiding simply bcs everything else requires either loads of repair costs or just waaaaay to many time spend vs just taking it from others.

Although maybe you are right. I know for me personally every time I click the button to upgrade my academy I shout out "Take that noobs...get wrecked!" because of how hardcore PvP it is. When I complete a daily quest that involves mining resources, defeating NPCs, or upgrading my station? Doesn't get any more PvP than that. Living the life.

@quick sand I didnt say it was the event. Your are correct this game has PVP in it. However the implimentation of the PVP aspect has been poor. That PVP implimentation in the game is in what my optinion has caused the Exodus, yes sure there are bugs, lack of missions and other aspects that dont help (IE bad customer support). When players are given a story progression, mission growth up to LVL 15 then tossed into a grosely unbalanced PVP experience after that, to me it would be a nail in the coffin for many Trekkers.

So the only way to do the prepare for pvp event is to spend ship exp. A currency that is very limited. And that you can't spend if you've been playing the game and have your ships at level cap. SeemsGood

Great another event that is capped by level, have you no one with a brain that understands capping off lower level players just destroys any semblance of competition. You make the higher levels even stronger and limit the lower levels progression.

These events are pure trash. Why should anyone under level 24 try since they are capped off from grinding out a higher score.

@abstract gate why would I need a Peace shield if this PVP event clearly is focused on attacking ships?
My constructive review of the Event:

  1. If your going to suggest Peace Shields they should protect your ship outside the base (all other rules for peace shields come into play)
  2. Survey ships should have been excluded, this would allow for non-participants in the event to continue to play the next two days. Leave the battle to the Interceptors, Battleships & Explorers
  3. Level Attacked should impact trophies not the player level, this would encourage more equal battles instead of bottom feeding

Thats fine, if ur level 20+ u can hit loads of lower level players without making a dent on your shields because of the huge power difference, however until lvl 20 the power gap is minimal, ill spend more time repairing..

i really like the event. first players who don't want to participate can use their 3 day shield and avoid pvp altogether on their station. Then I'm lvl 22 and I only get points by attacking lvl 20+, so I won't be hitting low level players

We have a solo event poorly designed that offers high lvl players rewards they dont need.
And we have an alliance event that as a result is won by whoever murders as many low lvl player ships as possable.

And they think a substantial chunk of the playerbase wont quit because of this event.

For the alliance event yes. I am talking about the individual event. The individual player events, you can only hit three levels below you to get points. I don't know how things are run in your sector, but in mine you protect your miners and it is an all out war on ships and miners all the time.
