I disagree. these events, at least originally, I LOVED becuase they were teaching the importance of crewing and showing differnet options for differnet tasks. However, teaching WRIONG crewing is what this event is doing and just adds to the stigma amongst players that Scopely is clueless about how to play their own game.

I think people who are participating are guessing the task details using the image thumbnail when selecting a task. Some of them are clear regarding what you need to do but not how much of it.. but then estimate the required amount based on the points it is worth. I don't think there are any new tasks we haven't seen before.. so people are going based on memory or screen captures from previous (successful?!) launches

@cosmic steeple one question not related tonight, until about a month ago we seemed to have a specialty ship upgrade event running on a regular basis same as the mirror research and the choas/forbidden tech ones. Mirror research chaos and forbidden tech events are still running but the specialty ship upgrade event has stopped has that been cancelled completly now? those events are ones players save up for a lot, my brother at ops 46 does the mirror one a lot and finishes high as ops 65 most of my mirror stuff is done and FT im locked on my assesment rank but i saved so much for the ship upgradeone like a full tier on borg cube rev and NSEA but its been over a month since we had it

The event seemed to run almost weekly or every other week for a while like the mirror universe research one or the forbidden and chaos tech ones but it just stopped suddenly. Those 4 events were ones worth saving things for and we still get the others along with the fkr rep gain event that's on now but specialty ship event just stopped with no word why

IMO, Emerald Chain level unlocked store purchases should not be connected to tournament group ranking (e.g. binary cutter refit can only be purchased at master rank). Leveling up EC rank should be enough of a goal for these.

We pendulumed once like that, but usually stay in Expert. We're not a "spend to win" alliance and only have 7 players in the 60s so typically score between 1.2 and 1.5 million points only. Enough to never be relegated, but not even close to get top 3 without tremendous luck in our bracket.

We literally yo-yo every cycle. For a while we bumbled along in the middle of Expert, but then one time we seemed to figure it all out and started winning Expert, and always getting relegated again from Master. It's not so bad as you can get Master League things every time, but it does feel rather silly.

We don't have much in the way of true whales, but we have some very competitive F2P and pay a bit people.

I really wish they would stop putting priority one missions as an event to complete the Khan challengers event. That one event alone will stop me from completing the full sms and receiving apex pulsar projectile milestone. What sucks is that I've completed every other event except for the priority one away team missions, because I cannot afford to buy packs, nor do I have enough away team speed ups. Its frustrating. Any advice on how to do priority one away team missions more efficiently is welcomed.

If you can grind to Augment Superior you can do Khan Champion missions to unlock a second one a day without spending money, that helps a bit. I'm just about keeping on top of things for now having to double pull both the Augment thing with away team speed up and the one that costs the new Crest things, but it's really stretching my resources. Also grabbed every single officer stats bonus I can, and even the almost useless exocomps can add a couple of % to your success chances sometimes. Also trying to put trait XP on officers with high stats on P1ATAs that turn up.

Really annoying of them to do this.

Tempted not to bother with any other away teams for the duration so no one's missing if they're needed.

I think why our alliance does middling (aside from not spending) is that only about 25 people out of about 65 even partipate in tournaments. It is what it is.

The P1 away team missions are a joke. And having events for only 24 hours adds to the laughs. Most of mine fail and that uses the trivial amount of resources to start them. Most don’t have the traits needed to succeed. Now I have zero score for the event. This is one of if not the most frustrating task ever added to the game. Wouldn’t be surprised if most abandon this feature. Thanks Scopely for making another impossible event.

Just joined a public match with another player and starter just didnt even send out ships. was close so there was an easy chance to win but he didnt even tried. in theory i could start a excel sheet with ppl doing that but over time that list might be a pain to check before public squad is full. No worries, yeah i did some PVP and it has 0 points until just rewardf, the complete icon is shown, and the bar is filled i just cant claim, unless im missing something, which is quite possible

Did you know that you can mine in a warship during an incursion and nobody will bump you off? Swapped servers and sent a couple of ships over to mine at the start of the event. So far they’re still mining latinum.

Every incursion we are asked to move and shield. And every incursion we see a major dump of points in the first 10 minutes. We get to see who scores points, but how do we see who is loosing points? Without this info we can never improve our score and gc descends into a toxic finger pointing session. We need a qol improvement here....

It’s literally the most valuable piece of data incursions could offer. Servers don’t win incursions, individuals lose it. Tracking rss lost during the event is probably one of the most asked for data points.

Many of us wish incursions wasn’t 99% raid scoring, but since that’s not apparently changing, we want metrics on who crapped the bed 🤣
