I think it will be a very long time until you would get a chance to use qualifier credits again. Most likely if youre in an established alliance, you wont be in a qualifier event ever again unless they do a full reset?

On server 33 we lost all our qualifier credits, got no rewards after the qualifier event, and can't see our score/placement in relation to others. It seems what others have said is true, that alliance tournaments are dead on arrival. Too much pay to win and no rewards. Many are talking about quitting the game now and that's understandable.

I wonder if it even was buggy in two ways:

I found the rectangle's corners to be Priya (from the website), Ora Leraa (from @cosmic steeple on Discord and YouTube/UltimatDJz Playz), Aesuri (from YouTube/ItsLewb), and one of Araiza, Labac, Ione, Kaikara, or Azha (I did not find the 4th coordinate fragment, and all of those were in the hint in Knowledge Base, and would have worked for a rectangle of sorts).

I searched for "the special planet" (YouTube/UltimatDJz Playz) within that rectangle, but missed the (i) icon, so I could not find any at first 😅 Then I was told about this by friendly people in the GC, and that one planet would be Midnight/Mixom, and that there are actually 4 planets with encrypted messages. In addition, I found Eisenhorn/Gawot and V'varia/Tozuu.

I could decrypt all three messages, but most symbols in the one in V'varia/Tozuu were not defined in any of the 7 decryption keys messages that I eventually got in the news through claims. Should there have been an 8th one with them, but I did not receive it?

And I also found Lorillia/Starbase 82 and Labac/Halla to feature info buttons. But when I clicked on them, I only got "Starbase 82" and "Halla". Should there have been encrypted messages at one of them instead?

If not, what was the fourth planet with encrypted messages that I then have overlooked at least twice 😅 ?

(I finished the event only because people told me where to go and what to do.)

That's actually a good point. Not that we can really check that any more, since they wiped everything other the weekend, but if so, that's potentially worse, since they've told us that credits won't carry over, so there's a large chance that they'd be giving us rewards that we'd never be able to spend.

Can't say for sure, but from listening to DJ, it seems like the "unlucky" rolls have turn ins to get more currency to keep rolling and guarantee that everyone will be able to complete the SMS. The Beryllium Sphere completes the event and therefore doesn't need a turn in 🤷‍♂️

so on my server, 72, there's a lvl 70 guy who is #5 on the STFC leaderboard for power. i'm in his alliance, we get 20+ alliance gifts per day. i think 20 is the minimum i've gotten and close to 60 the most. with $$ like that rolling in, there's no incentive to fix things. and he's not the only one spending money daily. i'm guessing that Scopely is bringing in roughly $20k-$30k per day from my server and there's how many server? 100+? even if just the average spent on a server is $10k per day, that's well over $10M per day that Scopely is raking in.

I have halted my spending in protest😂 waiting for New Star Trek content. Not the spoof of it. Nagging server issues they have yet to resolve from past content added to the game is also a reason not to spend. Example: ship power levels have dropped,lag, disconnects from server, lockups, screen overlays from multiple tabs, not receiving correct rewards, refineries are giving less and less, being stuck in a system with recall not working,the random game crashes. After five years hopes for arcs that run properly or have no lag have long gone. I enjoy playing, mostly due to alliance, and despite this month, it is a Star Trek game. I appreciate the new content keeping it fresh even if as f2p I know most of it is a long road to getting. End of day spenders keep the lights on. And the pleasure delay makes it sweeter when finally do get and see the benefit.

I am concerned scopes will kill the golden goose, by not giving the fans what we want. We play this game because it is Star Trek. We want the industry to see the franchise is profitable so keep making games based on it.

If Galaxy Quest had fundamentally changed the game for the better and allowed us all to engage in new content (whether new officers or ships) we might be feeling some love for scopes.

Instead I feel like I have my hand on my wallet just to make sure it does not get pickpocketed.

Though regarding mantis, perhaps what you were told, was that using your mantis in actian space (which involves killing hostiles to buff your mantis) would count as credit. But again, don’t actually need mantis at all. Just happens to work out if you wanted to grind actian and complete Cerritos event at same time

Hey @cosmic steeple can you remove the cooldown on the protector shards in the event store? The only thing between free to play players getting the ship and not is that cooldown. Sure would be good for engagement metrics if folks who competed for the top of their SLB actually could get something for their time.

Either that or keeping the store open a bit longer. Either/or.

It wouldn’t be a bad decision fiscally. It would amount to one or two folks per bracket, tops, getting a protector.

Everyone else would still have to buy it, same as it ever was.

Fatu krey scraps - cooldown stops us using the billions we have.
Eyepatches - we have limited amount in events why add cooldown to store items like protector, acclaim beryllium etc.

If I don’t compete high ranking for slb I end up with less amount yet it’s still an amount I can never use.

As a point to consider, regarding the paltry quantity of scraps levels below 40 can exchange, the stupid amount we’ll be left with and the really poor rewards in the Sarris Invasion store for us…

I’m on one of the newer servers, (around a year old), so we have a large proportion of players under level 40 still. The engagement on this round has been MUCH less than the last one, (where the Sarris store was provided for us late, so we didn’t know how poor the rewards were).

The first time round, the invasion was quashed really quickly. This time most people have done the SMS event and stopped, because the SLB and the “rewards” on offer for winning eye patches are so poor it’s not worth the time and ship repairs. The invasion is still at 87% nearly 8 hours after it started.

The top “prize” for the SLB is 25k eye patches. That’s worth 65 uncommon refined crystal in the store.

If you want us to engage with events, it has to be worth the time, effort and hull repairs. Personally, as a high level 30s player, I feel this entire Galaxy Quest thing has been for the level 40+ players and has not only ignored, but totally snubbed lower levels.

Luckily, the automod log does give me access to the text.

Proper sourcing of specialty ships lately has been via a drip, with a completion time of ~100d after starting. Historically, some ships were given out in a bp (Disco and Meridian), but that hasn't happened in quite awhile now. The talios extension of the borg loop was freeish to owners of a maxed vidar during release month as well.

I kill hostiles with a battleship, when I kill the fighter that want to kill me (interceptor, klingon space) it gives me points. If he kills me, no points. Doesn't look like ship type problem to me.

Like i said, auto grinding works when the ship matches the type in the event. In this case, if the auto chaser was a battleship, it would score hitting you.

So go out and manually hit ships with a battleship the way the event was intended
