Away team missions change every 12 hours. Any away team missions you have not started will be removed and replaced twice a day. Not starting all your available missions will give you more chances to have the missions you are looking for a chance to pop up.

I’ve literally never run out of parts. If you’re a ship collector…that’s maybe different. At T5 V’ger is a super easy thing to keep the refinery humming, I send it out maybe twice a week to summon and drain nodes.

I’m not saying don’t do it…just pointing out the game is only as grindy as we choose to make it.

The easy way to play armadas is be in a strong alliance and send loot crew to fat madas for the carry. It’s a rare mature server that doesn’t have slots available in a variety of suitable alliances.

My recommendation is always to jump to 34 for the refinery boost. Gets way better at 34. Biggest jump in the 30s. Then scrap your 26s and get the refinery primes

There are a lot of things that take time in this game, and my time is limited. Having events that require specific avatars when there is no easy way to locate the correct one is crazy. If there is an event that uses avatars, they should be marked or moved to the top of the list. Furthermore, my scoring in an event should not be based on the avatar of another player.

yeah, the description seems to cover it; my alliance confirmed that full-cost normal (FKR/Cardassian/Pirate) armadas count, discount (TC/burial) ones don't; solos don't count either, i've seen reports here confirming formation armadas not counting, AC confirmed no borg armadas, and in general nothing that doesn't use the standard directives at the standard cost seems to count.

we've got an ops 26 with the event; an ops 17 here reported not having it; i somewhat suspect it's an ops 23+ event, as that's when you can build the armada control center, but I don't have specifics within that range.

i don't think wave defense is a significant factor in most people's ability to progress the event until the mid-late 40's, as otherwise it's too hard to have a good enough ship to get many kills. a lot will depend on your alliance's ability to run a ton of armadas, your ability to be on for them, and how they hand out armada seats as to if you can get any

If you only did uncommon armadas, it seems kind of crazy. Have to kill 115 of them to get top milestone in one event. And at 7 minutes each if running Cardassian ones, that's 115 x 7 min = 13.42 hours. Or an average of ~4.5 hours per day over the 3-day event of running armadas nonstop.

@pseudo rune hey eco, now that v-day is done ( controversial I know, but hey, I liked it (kinda)). I want you guys to know, what I feel like is my shard loss do to the event not working as intended. I got enough points to more than finish 2 of the categories. I can cash in 25 chests which is great, but instead of 150 shards I’m at 100. 50 shards less is kinda a big deal to most players. If I was allowed to focus my points as intended, that would have been superb and I would have even gone harder for it…. Don’t forget top tier milestone was pretty dang high ( 32 epics, 38 rares, 114 normal madas, 1,523 wave hostiles or of course: some kind of combination).

It’s more sneaky than that, the interceptor hunter type events usually work if the chaser is an interceptor. So usually people find augment space works for the explorer event but not the other two.

It is my understanding that only the leader can boot players from a wave. This means that the player that starts the wave cannot be booted from that wave. If this is true then its easy to just start a new wave on your own, entirely immune to being booted, isn't it...? First person to enter the system for the wave is automatically the leader, from there others who dont want to participate with that player can easily leave on their own initiative... Right...?

We absolutely did have a problem. It’s one thing to support lowers from your alliance - that’s normal and expected. When freeloaders hitch a ride, taking a slot away from alliance mates…that was a problem. Lots of us were essentially preforming waves in AC to get around that…the kick feature is awesome, and gives us a simpler way of doing right by our alliance mates.

It seems to be coded to be based on the ship doing the attack. So if you are actively attacking, you need to use an explorer. If you're autogrinding, you need to autogrind against explorers with any ship.

My point is that if the devs wanted waves to be alliance specific they would have programmed them to be like that from the beginning. Nobody complains about someone from outside their alliance joining their armada. The mechanics are intentionally meant to be different from armadas.

Yep. Certain tags picked up (deserved) reputations for being freeloaders. That had…consequences, lol. I doubt our server is special in that regard. As a 52 there were times I was asked to leave a wave to make room for much weaker alliance mates of the launcher - I totally respect that.

What’s that got to do with anything? You can form a group with buddies from 5 different alliances and still not want a random player to join that group. It’s rude to gatecrash a party you weren’t invited to and the kick button simply serves to remove the rude people.

Joining isn’t rude. Joining and not actively participating is rude, if the launcher feels it’s rude.

Devs allow joiners to be booted…by your own logic, that means being selective about who participates is intentional.

Had a guy join 6 times in a row after being kicked, trying to get an alliance member to join the last spot. So swapped out my corvus for voyager, scanned and then popped his station in between kicks, 7th time he didn't come back.

I don’t know how your server is, but on mine people post invitations to join their waves on gc. And not just lowbies hoping to get carried, several g6 players regularly invite any and all to come join their waves.
