Scopely undervalues the work that players put into the game all the time. Last example - changed scoring in the first FC SMS after many players already spent their trial bells.
This time too. That some players are able to get both refits is a result of Scopely incompetence. Some have gotten more currency through compensating for messed up events than those who were lucky (or rather unlucky in this case) to make all events without any problems and now have to decide for one skin.
Not that I care about Realta skins.
But just once, at least once, it would be nice to hear from you: sorry guys, we messed it up. Not the servers, not players WiFi connection, not the weather in Antarctica - we. From the very beginning, starting with the concept of the event. Was a stupid idea, the implementation even more stupid. It will never happen again.
But you're more likely to meet a unicorn on the street than it is to happen.

the event was all messed up for me and I only got 13k of the currency. It's not in the event store under Ship Refits
I had opened a ticket to CS 2 months ago because something was not right with my event. They did nothing about it and closed my ticket saying it was normal

I think in general this arc gives very limited event currency. Its even worse than previous event store arcs.

im 2nd in a multiday SLB on ops 54, and it gives 9000 currency. Thats 1,5 officer shard.

Pick a system. Fly your realta there before event starts. Go to the edge of the system>once event starts fly to opposite edge>let ship stop> then fly back to original side. Rinse and repeat.

I do feel that STFC is trying to be too many things, to be all things for all players, instead of focusing on doing a few things really well. As a result, everything is done in a mediocre way.

Thing is about not programming in a race option, STO (Star Trek Online) has a daily race and that game existed long before STFC was a twinkle in someone's eye. And there's the Delta Flyer race episode from Voyager. So why didn't they think of having racing options? (because it would require thinking?) 😄

When they said a race I was really thinking you'd opt-in by joining the event and when you did you got like a mission chain of yello markers to reach and hop to the next (no dialog) as quickly as possible in order to complete some circuit and get your qualifying time. The race was exactly the same length for everyone as the clock only starts after the first marker and you then have to choose the balance between impulse + warp speed officers to get your best time and qualify... on race day it would be the same thing and so you don't have to race with everyone else at any specific time slot just complete the "race" and get your best time out of it. Race day could be the exact same circuit so everyone already knows the route and could plan out other options for jumping quickly (ie use disco or not) ...

I'm grouped in the same segment with them often, but I choose to ignore them because they are not my competitors. Their game is very different from mine, and my goal is to be better than those around me. The 60s take the top of the cake, and I try to capture the part within my reach.

How you try to engage with the game is up to you, but this is probably not a winnable fight if you try your approach.

I'm on an APAC server. Reset is the same time globally. Normally there's not a 10-minute event scheduled for only at reset though.

Yup, I wasted an alliance impulse speed exo for that. Not to mention arranging being able to be online uninterrupted for 10 mins at 5pm. Good work scopely.
