That's because PMC is majorly overpowered, not because of the hostiles being harder.

Try the snw/gork/khan crew on a regular hostile and unless your ship is equal or higher power you'll get pasted.

The hostiles arendifferent, which is a good thing, making players have to think outside the PMC shaped box is a good thing.

Hm but the health points being higher means much more damage overall. Eg lvl 45 freebooter explorer hits for 930k dpr vs fed explorer at 2.3m dpr, so significantly less damage per round, but it’s 65m health vs 9m health so it takes 7x as long to kill, so overall you’re going to take more damage vs the freebooter I’d think?

Which is weird, because an Ops53 ship with SNW crew wrecks lvl60 freebooters (as long as you adhere to triangle advantage), but lvl57+ faction hostiles hit like tanks. You'd think with all the faction research, it'd be the opposite... 😆

The scaling is different in g5 maybe? Lvl 60 faction hostiles have over 10x the dpr and about a third the health looks like.

Well, there’s a lot of variety in the 40 hostiles. There’s regular, veteran or heavy or whatever it’s called, and that’s just in regular faction space. There’s also the DS hostiles. Still, 40 freebooter is harder than all of those. I tried a 43 and that took out 2/3 of my hull.

umm, no? They ignore Moreau's piddly -154% to piercing stats, but if you're using Beverly, one of the SNW rares, or another officer that boosts your defensive stats by a % of officer stat it's not too difficult to max your mitigation out

No, they just have a ship ability that comes into play at the same time as Moreau's officer ability, and the 1500% boost more than cancels out Moreau's reduction. Moreau normally works great because she takes hostiles from 100% base piercing to some value less than zero, but Freebooters effectively start at 1600% base and Moreau simply isn't strong enough to take that higher starting point to nothing.

This Rivalry mission I believe slaps any and all members in the face. We spend over $1000s of dollars or more and yet your 10 million ship is defeat with a 20k ship. Yes they take the commander and yes I know they write it to where we get OUR SELvES back out of custody… This mission I believe Slaps all of us who spends our money for not loosing…. Some of those are apples to oranges comparisons as the f2p path is mutually exclusive with other specialty ships. Yes, 100 days for a single ship is long, but when you factor in that you can only work on the vidar/sarco/franklin/amalgum/disco one at a time, 100 days starts to look reasonable. I more object to significant time gate that also slows ex-borg research progression significantly.

I think that enthusiasm has worn out. Scopley prolly needs to adjust their approach. Normally the spenders would throw $$$ at new ships, but I tahini that we are all starting to realize that this one doesn’t really provide a benefit. I foresee some good pack deals coming up near the end of the arc.

If a player has 8 docks and can get the hunters to continuously hit them they can make 48k points an hour for doing nothing. That's pretty decent points but for anyone trying to actually grind thats hard to try and keep up with especially if they manage to do it through the night while the active player is sleeping.

Simplist way would be to just code the event so it only counts if you are the attacker.

I think so, yes. My bracket has increased to 13 participants, half of whom are involved in the server war. Whales are pretty insulated from many of the effects of war, and I kinda doubt a lackluster ship has put much of a damper on their spending over their desire to win, especially against "the other team."

Once you build the ship, you get two dailies. One is use 3k juice, and the other 12k juice. The amounts might vary, but that's what I saw. Using Fort will consume 3k juice. It comes from a daily claim.

Why? You might see 1 in a round. 2 if you're lucky or stay in system a long time. Making miner 75 points, points to the lat system. Example. Max vdar in 33's might see 1 miner the whole round. 75 points in a round of 27k points is absurd to think it's meant to help point. Stfc Shouldn't even make it points more, unless it was meant for the lat systems. It's absolutely mind boggling why I would sit an wait for a possible 8-10 miners using 8 Trans warps. getting in 3 epic exchange armadas is 21 minutes and probably anyone can do it (epic exchange directives are a joke to get); you don't even need everyone in the party to be able to host one to do it. really makes the event feasable for people with shorter playtimes.
