I have a novel idea: Let's come up with a new enemy, say the Boove, and have a ship that is designed to only defeat the boove - we can call it the Event Horizon, only 3 $99.99 chests to unlock, with a new grindable currency (call them Boove Bits), a new super currency worth 1000 Boove Bits called Boove Bytes, conveniently available for $49,99 in the online store and no where in game, which then refine via a special Event Starbase module that is only available after a 6 step mission available in 255 warp space. Once refined, the Boove bits/ bytes (called Boove Control Panels - or some other well thought out bs) can be handily used to purchase Boove Tokens in the Boove faction store that can then be used in the same store to buy more bits/ bytes or shards for the Event Horizon's super mining boost power, which allows the player to boost their mining for G2 mats, until they upgrade the Event Horizon to level 40, at which time it will allow to boost G3 mats.

I will accept only G4 uncommon ship parts to pay for this idea.

And then the Boove, once rendered pointless after this 6 day event, will remain in perpetuity - to be recycled as an event every three months for no reason whatsoever.

crystal mats sink has always been an issue so that's probably why there's usually more crystal mat rewards. faction miners and almost every faction warship uses crystal except romulans

Hey, is there going to be a continuation arc for the TOS quest line? Because I never felt that it was completed after the last mission where Decker and Kirk return to Starfleet to give a report. I got the hint that they were nearing another Doomsday invasion as what happened in the original timeline, but I never seen Decker being brought to justice for his unhinged and reckless actions as a captain and I really would love to see the ruse he was putting up for the starfleet officers in charge fall to pieces and he gets what he deserves

Plus, I really want to unlock more TOS officers since Kirk is the only one I have unlocked and it is nearly impossible to unlock them on the ultra officer recruitment box. Even plus, I also want to unlock more borg officers for the upcoming borg arc this year.

I hate the event because it’s 100 hostiles and in order to do it effectively and efficiently you’ve got to concentrate, but it and all the elite events are stretch events to help you upgrade the ship

So if it doesn't show up by tomorrow then the announcement would no longer be accurate. However many of my alliance were able to complete the mining event by just resetting a miner. I unfortunately already had reset some miners for the ore ticket event, which left me with only completing 1 or 2 MS of the unintended launched event. I feel everyone should receive the full rewards of those easy SMS events as a compensation. Rerunning the events during the arc won't bring back missed resources...

Thank you @modest frost for the amazingly fast and clear communication on the event issue this morning. I appreciate the quality of customer care you are bringing to the game since joining the Scopely team (your Christmas songs on DJz show were pretty awesome too).

However I want to share my disappointed in the contents of the "oops" chest provided. Two epic officer shards for mediocre officers does not replace the significant materials and resources the events got myself and my team excited about this morning. These officers are not essential to progression or daily game play, while those event rewards truly were - personally I would have been able to upgrade a component on my Valdore. I understand the value Scopely places on epic officers and that they may feel this is adequate, but please note that players do not value all officers equally, and this one of those cases.

Odo's officer ability is so small it won't ever be useful especially relative to other mitigation officer abilities already in game - even at max.

Odo's below deck ability is good, but to make any use of a rank I officer below deck you need monster stats elsewhere, or a high tier ship with many officer slots open. That's tough for many players.

I have rank I Dax, highly disappointing and I have found she is not worth using over other solo aramda officers.
