It's often neglected that you can earn more pts/time by running harder armadas. More people seem to complain about pt efficiency on the event cards. If you're up to it, the harder ones will consume your directives very quickly.

Personally i don't pay for ships never going to happen I don't buy most things in the game i only ever get the 20 dollar BP i have gotten the extra research slots and the second builder but they were cheap. 50 to 100 dollars for in-game packs is to expensive for most players so until scopely sees that then I'll stick with the 20 dollar BP premium rewards pack
I just wish it didn't take 4 to 6 months for scopely to have a F2P path for new ships and officer's and some officers don't have a good F2P path yet

Personally I'm on the $19.99 Scopely Diet Plan. If it costs over $19.99 and doesn't have enough swag to warrant even spending $19.99, I won't buy it. Which means typically the only thing I will buy each month is the Premium Rewards for the Battle Pass. After spending literally thousands of dollars the past couple years. I have decided no more enrichment of Scopely for digital products. That are over priced to begin with and not getting enough swag for the currency being asked for. In other words, I'm not getting enough stuff for the money they're charging. Take for example the new ship, Mantis. $100 for BP's and some token stuff to go with it. For a ship that's very limited in scope that doesn't have broad use in the entirety of the game.
Screw that noise!!!!!!
I will simply wait for free alternatives to getting the BP's or I just won't get it at all.
Not having that ship won't stop me from playing the game nor will it have any impact on my game play. So Scopely looses revenue but if the same package was $19.99 instead of $99.99. I would buy it and I suspect thousands of others would as well for that price. Which means Scopely would gain revenue and they could multiple that factor if they offered all the other packages for $19.99 or less. I would spend $100 a month knowing I'm getting far more for the money then what Scopely is willing to do now. I'm spending less time playing STFC and playing other games that offer in game spending on far more better valued stuff for literally a couple dollars. When I feel I'm getting a perceived value of more for my money, I'm willing to spend it.
Scopely isn't providing me with that feeling, in fact very much the opposite. Which is why I'm on the Scopely $19.99 diet plan. To bad they're not smart enough to understand why their revenue has fallen so drastically lately.

Nowhere is very correct. You are so right, and this makes me so sad. It feels like an accelerating cash grab with the full expectation of shutting up shop once the last remaining whales have finally maxed their credit cards. But it doesn't need to be that way. Star Wars galaxy of hero’s is one of the many long lasting games that has had direction and long termed planning that has survived many dry spots. Scopley could have gone ina similar direction and but still focused on bigger profit and had long life and happy players: But they do not see long term. Greed is not wrong but there is a balance. A bit of give and take. Scopley is good at taking but giving is like pulling teeth. I have played games for shorter times and spent more money than on this game. Over all I am not a game spender but if I have extra to spend on a hobby i will spend on it if it is a good deal. There are more than 2, segments at Mantis T1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. The best move might be to score a little in the SLB, then tier to the next segment and score again, until you've collected all the SLBs you want, then spend all your research mats.

From what I've seen, your faction ship, and pmc looked fine. Though if you had a 46 ship, a cargo crew might be better.

NCC, I would use SNW Pike and Ortega + Marcus. Lvl of hostiles will depend on your research but I would start with 34s…you should be able to fill your cargo with one hull. Make sure you don’t hit the interceptors…only the explorers

Mantis, cargo crew - it's got a 6k cargo hold, you'll run out of warp tokens before you get enough for all the refines.
If you've got a 46 ship i did far better grinding in a newton, with 5/marcus/khan hitting explorers mostly. Sure there's better crews but that's worked fine so far.

The Acian hostiles have big fat hulls but do very low damage per round - it's going to be the easy way to win the next heavy hitter event, if they've not canned them..

Pilum should do fine. 33 System and hit the interceptors will still take bloody ages but get you more loot than you can fit in the mantis, take your chances hitting higher. I got about 50k cargo in newton hitting 36s, probably could have got more if i wasn't hitting the interceptors.
Whichever system people were hitting in, it was still a dull and boring grind.

If you have a Mantis and just wanted the Syndicate XP, and have a G4 rare ship for grinding the Actia then don't upgrade it... Double refine goes from 30K at T1 to 35K at T2 to 55K at T3. Meanwhile the return is basically the same 3K Syndicate XP

No, I would say it has gotten worse. The time sink this game has become is what will have them primed to walk. This type of behavior by scopy just makes it a simpler question. At Ops 39 you will need 190 points. Each faction recruit chest is an estimated 5 points (1E+2R), so you'll need an estimated 38 Faction Recruit packs. Assuming you have 10MM in even a single faction, you can purchase 15 per 22h, that puts you at 30 over the two day, so probably not quite feasible if you don't have good timing or some recruit tokens stockpiled, but if you are dual or tri locked or have any recruits stockpiled, seems pretty easy to finish the SMS

event store is actually a good thing for non-whales, it's the only way to accelerate some ships etc outside of hard cash.
It's just a bit of a bugger that half the loot is going to be locked behind the mantis

Half the loot will be completely un-obtainable for players under ops level 33 regardless of whether they spend money in game or not…. And yes @pseudo rune adding a JellyBrawl does nothing to fix that.

While it gives you a bit of selection, it gives significantly less uncommons, that progress your growth significantly. So while you might get the ability to tier your amalgam a shade faster, you are losing out more

Yes, but the top milestone is over 5 million points according to stfc.space, and a 33 gives 100. The grind only gets reasonable around L43 hostiles. If the ship can't hit those out of the box, then even spending the money does nothing for me.
