nx01 archiving at ops 71 makes no sense at all. most players have finished with this loop by the mid 60s. only allowing about 2% of the player base to archive this ship is just another slap in the face to your players. and is a big reason why players are still leaving this game in droves. stop punishing your player base. u need to come up with a better metric for archiving ships, like finishing all the research and favors, for example, plus maxing the ship of course. ops should not be the deciding factor. if it was then the nx01 should have been archivable by ops 67, not 71.

My first impressions of the new arc and "improvements". yes the academy hostiles are easier, but at ops 69 with a maxed cube for my level, i can hit 62s with a loot crew. it takes 4 runs to get enough materials for a chest pull. With 200 bps for the Athena I can say right now I will never have one because I will have quit long before that happens. The IA for the NX01 is a joke being ops locked to 71, I dont need the crap from it now so will need it even less then. Scopley you are pushing us all away with your stupid fixes for content that was stupid in the first place. And as for the login streak to get a bulk refine, more stupidity that will push players away.

As a level 54 I have maxed the meridian (needs archive lvl 56), nx-01 (now needs archive lvl 71), mantis (needs archive 60), all are pointless loops and just sit there until I get to those ops levels in the distant future (by which time the game will have ended) the NX is just the next in the list of disappointments for players that work at there ships for little rewards!

speaking of punishing the player base, a massive QOL feature like bulk claim should never be take away from players for any reason. missing a day and having the feature removed is just really, really bad. most here will never miss a day, but we have a lot of casual players that cannot play every day and they should not lose that feature. as well, things can come up in real life that require missing a day or two. now if that happens we lose bulk claim for at least a week. that should never happen. u do know what qol stands for right? concurrent login streaks should reward players with something extra. punishing them if they miss a day is the absolute wrong thing to do.

Having a beam hit 5 ships at once was a good QOL thing, but we can't have players enjoying themselves, according to Scopely. i think the decision to make the NX-01 mastery capped at ops 71 is ridiculous. The NX-01 was released 2 years ago! You can max this ship in G5.

To some degree I don't doubt there's a bunch of force of habit/addiction in play and scopely's included some game design choicesthat have been termed "contentious" in various aspects. There's some hope Cameron Stewart, the new VP, will be able to turn the ship around as he's apparantly managed the same with similar games but there'll need to be a massive effort to regain player trust. I'm willing to see what he manages to change by summer as he obviously can't do worse than Connor. That being said I doubt I'll be active at ops 68 until I can do the content without being expected to shell out 100's of euro's or kill hundreds to thousands of hostiles just to finish the non heroic events for the day.

I just don't understand why..... (besides $$$) why Scopley attributes "new content" with 'new invention". Why does every arc have to add a new building, or a new ship, or a new hostile.... when we have old ones that can use an update.... or older-arcs that fell flat that can use a new paint-job or expansion. Freebooters, Dominion, Xindi, etc, etc, etc. You have so much already in play.... yet you think that when we say we want quality content, we mean a new grind... or a new ship... and so on. NO!!!!! You have ships that can use a "paint-job".... ships that are useless once you hit a higher ops or progression or max it out... the Mantis, the Defiant, Stella, Meridian, etc

Examples..... here are some, but not an exhaustive list of ideas for expansion on current/past content.
-Expand Dominion content with hostiles like Vadek or picard S3 changelings with Shriek-like ships.
-Add higher systems to Xindi space and have the Guardians as the higher-level hostiles.
-Add on the the Freebooters with more XB's content. (This will also be advantageous to those of us that wasted the time on the Freebooter/FKR research and are now in G6/G7 and its useless.)
-Expand the Exchange/Rogue content with higher ops progression, higher material benefits, and even a supped up Stella. Make it like the D'Vor, Vidar or the Revenant... that you can evolve-up to a beefier version with simple F2P options.

To name a few.

Point is...... you don't have to make every arc about spending money on new, shiny things...... If you make quality content there are those of us that will pay for it!!!! But that should not take away the content for those that are only F2P.

The bulk faction claim is a great addition to the game to let players do the basics. However Just to clarify the optics on this. People have real life happen to them: Kids get sick, parents need care, the car plays up and needs to be towed, work was horrific etc. Pretty much players could be having a terrible day and the scopely mechanic will kick them when they are down. How is this any different to the syndicate level block on officer presets which were just removed. Honestly what on earth was the logic when this dehumanising limitation was added.

Sorry, are you talking about the USS Athena?. Then i have good News for you. You can get the needed currency to unlock the fully ship without running a single of those new annoying waves. Just trade it with someone that can easily kill those new hostiles in hundreds and have probably by now billions of the currency so they don't mind it if you blow up their ship if you trade something else for them and/or some of their Alliance Members that might need something that you probably can collect easily even if you are only play the game partly.

I am so far on my road to OPs 70 and so far always managed to get all the ships without having to buy them. There is always some way, you just need to be creative how to pull it and/or how to obtain the Materials. @surreal kayak Try to find someone from a different Alliance with a decent Vengeance, they will be able to collect you the needed currecny in one single run and you wouldn't believe me when i tell you which OPs can kill such a ship if they save through it months of running those new Waves.
