when i thought it was a full unlock, all rewards at once, it felt like Scopely was finally getting the message and at least attempting to appear generous. i thought "ah at least a half step in the right direction. people will like this"

now that its clarified not a full unlock and we still have to earn it and get the same drip as always, just... extra...

it feels less like a sincere attempt at rectification and more like same old Scopely, not willing to give up a single thing that would actually help players. especially not things that would help players in a way that are immediately impactful and observable.

players would have been happy if it ended up being what we initially thought it was, a massive compensation. i think what it actually ended up being is going to rub players the wrong way. its disappointing and yet simultaneously not surprising and that sucks.

I appreciate the efforts of the CM/Discord team interceding on our behalf, i know this isnt their fault and they prolly fought hard to get even this, which is prolly why it took as long as it did.

but while this prolly feels like a huge overture to the Scopely brass, what it ended up being was Scopely missing the mark, AND the point, yet again.

Personally, I want to thank Scopely for the comp chest. It was a nice gesture to the customer base. I also want to thank the CM's for enduring the understandable frustrations being expressed. Having said that, Scopely completely dropped the ball. The comp chest was good but there hasn't been anything done to address the problem that required the comp chests. Until the issues are addressed, the outrage will continue. 🖖

1. Bring back choice tokens, give all players 1 full arc worth of them. Today. No event hoops to jump through.
2. Roll AT back to previous state, reset AT so it starts over. Today.
3. Restore Leslie to old function, but limit him to hostiles <70 to avoid game-breaking
4. Commit to a specific timeline to fix issues with outpost officers, battle logs, waves, and Dauntless in Surges
5. Commit to taking an arc to focus on additional bug fixes, game stability, lag, and quality of life improvements. Not "down the road". Not "eventually". Pick a month: June, July, or August, and commit to it.

All of that could have been done today. 1-3 are easy immediate fixes. 4-5 are simply specific promises made to players.
