Differences are tiny, but you want to move to ops 70 asap, so that any g6 unc and rare mats you spend going forward goes towards Venge bps events. Camping at 69 and using anything but required mats to get to ops 70 will set you back a loooong time

Hate to say this and i mean no offense but i partially blame the wallet warriors rich players. They basically showed scopely the way to just rake in cash and not have to deal with the issues at hand. Problems piled up but cash flowed in. Rinse lather repeat. Now there is 0 incentive to correct the problem as the money is made and the game has gone on for a while.

Had this game been forced to correct the issues as they appeared, wed never been down this path. Then free to play wouldnt have been lagged behind . Scopley always took the mindset this is a marathon not a race to get to the top. Then made it incentive based to run to the top. Shoulda made a server for players who pay well to play and they can fight amongst themselves and servers for free to play . That way whales couldnt wipe out free to play players and basically make them quit

I have no issue with the company making money. It's the only way the game can exist.

The issue is with how aggressively they monetize it and how much they punish - yes punish - players who don't spend enough money.

Spending should be a way to accelerate progress through the game or obtain cool items or features that make the game more convenient or personalized.

The flip side would be you could buy $10 voting packs to protect a player - reducing their vote count by 2. So if one whale says "okay I'm just going to nuke people", the smaller players can say "nope!"

And Scopely makes plenty of money on both ends of that deal. Players get to rid themselves of the worst trolls. You can have a public scoreboard up that'll never have the math right (like the alliance power board). Everyone wins.

But most importantly: no one is prevented from succeeding in the game simply because they did not spend enough money.

This game has taught me how people stay in abusive relationships when their partner keeps promising to never do it again and that they can change. Everyone outside can see it will never happen yet those within hold on to the hope and belief.

Actually, the greed explains everything.

You force players to spend as much money as you can by making their lives miserable if they don't, you hire the absolute minimum number of staff - at the lowest rates anyone in the world is willing to work - to operate it and develop it, and you run it on the cheapest service money can buy.

So you spend next to nothing, you get terrible results, you're incapable of fixing it properly let alone testing it ahead of time, but you get people invested enough already to keep sinking more cash into it.
