This is the first month I'm actually acquainted with players taking a break and not spending. Before I would just see posts about it. I now have in game friends now just awaiting the archive. I know the loss of our few hundred dollars may not be much, but let's see what happens ..

Businesses these days expect to increase profits endlessly. Without new players, and with players leaving that means they need to increase their profits from us. In pursuit of those profits, they forget there is supposed to be a fun game at the bottom of it all. And by they I dont mean the developers. I am confident that every one of them wants to produce a good game. Sadly though there are always people above them choosing the direction of travel and laying down the rules that others must follow. These are the people that I have an issue with, both in Scopely and most large corporations. Ever increasing profits are not, and never have been sustainable and are the primary reason that cost of living gets out of control. Increase price. Fewer customers as they get priced out. Increase price to compensate for loss of income. Repeat. Greed is going to be the reason the game dies, as greed has been the reason lots of things end. All companies need to get back to providing good services/products at fair prices and make fair profits to reinvest in their staff, their products and their technology. That is the way forward. Its just not going to be easy to make it so.

The reward for using a decent amount of cash and throw it into Scopelys throat is a laggy and still Beta game, that is now overloaded with new content to generate more and more money. Greed is, what will kill that game more sooner than later.
On 108 it begins now that whales quit and they are doing right.
At some point we all can use our money for things that bring way more fun.

People have said when you go back to previous arcs , improve crew ... there will be a snw arc coming , so give people chance to upgrade , the rares to epics, but you have to surrender a maxed rare to get a t1 epic ..

Cuts down on crews , it's only about 20 % of crews ever get used

Yes, some loot officers also increase the Rep gains you get. I can't remember the buzz words, but I know 5/11 does. Kim, Phellen, and Freeman specificically increase FKR rep.

Rep is considered loot, so any officer/ship ability that increases loot from hostiles will increase rep.

What’s been happening is what happens when any sort of venture capital investment group gets their hands on something. Savvy is an investment group, they want and need maximum returns on things.

That almost always means bleed the thing dry while shucking as much cost as possible, then when it’s on the verge of collapse, try and sell it or write it off in such a way as all the gains can’t be taxed.

Hopefully other gaming studios out there learn the lesson and stay away from these types of deals in the future.

Its because... to be honest.. many players have certain tendencies.... behaviors that make them more susceptible to marketed cohesion and manipulation... which Dopley has sunk their teeth into and made it into a mission statement. Take advantage of people that love a franchise by offering a compelling game mechanic... get them hooked.... then steadily increase the pay wall to entice them to spend more.... then gradually over time, contonue to make the game harder and introduce more complex content... which forces those that want to get ahead to spend more.... then Blamo!!!! Change everythign that made it actually fun into a way to make them pay even more.

dauntless is a useful ship in some regards but it is not what the upper level players claim it is. if an ops 70 is telling you to work on your dauntless, that's extremely sus. at 70 the 70s in mirror universe don't help him move his rep. and that's not the optimal method for farming sigma speedups. think about it.

I'm one of those who used to spends thousands a week on this game out of love for it. Ever since (I'm guessing that the obvious greed changes came about because spending went down, ("that it's self driven by game glitches and, the early greed attempts to sqeeze more out of us"), I myself got sick of it but, just refuse to spend more than $200-$300 a month.

Here's my point fix the Tournament your current plan will fail. People are upset I'm definitely not the only one. Also that attempt to get us to con our explayers back..... was pathetic.

Try fixing the issues and stop making main event's so that all are only for people who still are like I used to be.
The game is laggy now and, boots people out.

you need around a t14 cube,

you pull the max from the cube, and then from the transogen store, but you gotta wait until the they refresh and pull them again to finish.

so it takes almost 24 hours to complete a 10k task. Thats why i said i was 20k yestarday.

Sure, I get it. And I’ve been someone that has posted and signaled lately about negative changes this month (with why they are).

But I’ve also complimented when deserved the same people that I’ve criticized.

Even in some of these examples, I see some of the highlights of rollbacks to the feedback. Or when last week there was a lack of any CM voice, when the presence of CM updates and voice was highlighted. I know personally these steps backwards are what’s taken my displeasure, to put mildly, to an 11. I wouldn’t be surprised if these type of 5-layers-deep root issues were the gasoline to the raging embers.

Honestly that gives me no hope, we all love this game but a "good" comp for this game is 2-3 shards of the new officer which means nothing with all the problems we've had to deal with over the last several months. We were told things will get better but since they aren't we are seeing a mass exodus of players based on broken content, egregious monetization, bugs that aren't being addressed, destruction of fan favorite events, etc etc. none of this is your fault but who ever is making decisions don't seem to be accounting for how those decisions effect player but rather just trying to squeeze more money out of the player base. When one of your top content creators say that players are expendable that's a sign that we aren't wanted at all
