If the developers went back and looked at the feedback from year of hell part 2 when choice tokens were released they may find a host of positive sentiment. Who would have thought? The new alliance quests: 6 in total—3 worth 20k and 3 worth 10k—all achievable just by spending 99 euros. Otherwise, it’s just small change in the 750–1,500 range. Scopely must have weekly brainstorming sessions on how they can add more bottlenecks into the game to give them excuses to take more money from us. I guess Alliance Tournament wasn't making enough money so they:

  1. Changed the reroll tokens
  2. Added a bunch more P2P tasks

i simpy dont unterstand the business strategy behind all that: it should be to earn as much money as possible for as long as possible. That would work with a good perfomance, interesting content and payable prices. like before. Instead: Everything is getting crashed down intentionally. The only logical and possible reason to me is, that Scopely does allready know an end date for the ST Licence. Then, and only then it would make sense NOT to attract new player but to press only as much as possible out of permanently less people.

Tourneys could have been a great way to give old legacy rewards and keep people happy. Add in serene squall parts, older paid FT and officers. Other specialty ships. Would have been simple enough to give everyone the easy 10k task and points for this. Then make a premiums task which cost money. For higher end more current paid loot.

The fact is they’ve obviously spent much time and resources to enact player adverse decisions, removing player choice, “improving” bottlenecks.

There's a reason my opinion of scopely CM has soured over the past year. While at the start they, especially OH, could be handy nowadays they mainly seem to troll here and refuse to provide any useful information. Their sole goal seems to be polishing turds which scopely calls content. I don't know what KPI scopely uses or which training they offer but it seems to be about as bad as STFC's quality assurance. I could give them some grace as far as "Scopely doesn't allow them to give more information" but the provoking of players reminds me far too much of Eco.

Seems to me, everything that scores 10 or 20k requires a pack purchase. You now need 32k multiphasics to score. All the old refresh currency is useless and now I know why there's been no convertor currency in battle pass. Oh, and can't see temporal disruptors as a scoring method either... agree with EVERYTHING here. MY admiral is about to give his account away. 2 others quit immediately after seeing the tasks and the conversion rate. Every one was ALREADY mad about choice tokens and the blatant cash grab of the battlepass restucture and THEN we saw the Bulwark battlepass where they STOLE free content from us and tried to sell it back to us.

It does seem that way, the toxic positivity they pushed before was already frustrated but it seems that as STFC's content worsened they decided to go with "Eh, we can't win here and we catch all the flack so let's just mock the players". I honestly can't recall the last time I saw a CM actually give a useful response instead of just going "ooh, new meme". Simpauly seems rather insistent on just proving our point as I'm typing this. The utter lack of professionality frustrates me both as a HR professional as well as a player of this game and member of this community. I certainly won't say the CM deserve the flack for the state of the game but when this arc is pushing most p(l)ayers clean past their breaking pointy into exploring the unknown you'd at least expect some damage control instead of fanning player frustration.

AT is now literally just a "who can spend the most money" contest, can't even really do 10k tasks anymore without $100. This whole month has just been one thing after another to make the game worse, and give the players less value (i.e. fun, the thing this game is supposed to be). I really don't get why the decision makers feel they need to punish the players for decreasing revenue. You want more spend, make the game fun again, fix all the broken stuff, and focus on QoL (where is bulk research? G6 freebooters? last year's roadmap is still incomplete). Not ready to quit, but also this game doesn't deserve my money, so this small spender will now be pure f2p. CONGRATS!!!

I took a tourney task for P1 away teams but it's not showing any status or way for me to collect. 🤷 🤬 Just vanished, and I lost that task slot, not to mention the P1 charts I wasted along with the speedups to complete it . Ridiculous.

The greed of Scopely knows no bounds. The have basically made The Alliance Tournament a pay to win event now. All these "aquire" events mean you now have to pay to have any chance of getting a good postion in the event.

I guess this is what happens when you have a model that is entirely focussed on the expensive packs. I stopped paying anything in this game a while back - I don’t mind throwing a bit of money at these games but the price for anything in stfc is not worth it at all. At least other ftp games (e.g. Star Wars heroes) have a viable ftp model…. And make it worth me throwing them the odd £20 from time to time. And get better with updates. Better to take a little from a lot than try to take a lot from a few. And scopely are alienating their few 🤣
