So here’s a partial tally of grievances:

• Removed CotA
  -> Immediately added an event that works the same way with less rewards

• killing off Officer Depot choice
  -> “Keeping” officer depot, but it’s a random grab bag like all previous officer recruit

• Took away the interim week
  -> “Redistributed” rewards. The interim week ftp treasury rods are now behind a paywall

• BP Choice rewards removed
  -> New ftp BP rewards total is less mats than before.

• Alliance Tournament reworked, including coded language to say they are throttling your ability to find ftp-doable high reward tasks and making the g6 unc mat 10k task higher point threshold (after previous player displeasure from previous attempt)

• Emergency ration rewards retool will pay less unc and rare mats.
  -> Literally clawing back player compensation for constant issues

• Adding content, but rarely/never making it faster to redeem previous content. (Faction stores? Various gift/recruit tabs?)

• G5 scrapping rewards; tie up scrapyard for 2 months.
  -> Rewards don’t even fully scale, as touted
  -> Scrap rewards are double the time and less than loyalty tokens

• Instant bug fixes if bug benefits players
  -> Bugs not fixed for weeks for previously working officers
  -> Applied several lag fixes, lag is at the same or worse levels.

• No checks or tests for this game for new content. Seriously.
  -> Every arc day adds a list of known issues, both with new content and previously working content. (8! within the first 8 hours after “maintenance” - too ironically funny)
  -> No one checks/tests anything — that’s how an image that, for enough people, resembles an infamous symbol from rl and gets into the game

Yeah, basically. Most of the games I've played basically "shut down" a few months after they introduced a 3rd lane for the battlepass. The ones that remain I can count them with 1 hand and I have a few spare fingers

I don't know if this Star Trek game will shut down, but I'm certain that the player base will degrade badly even further. Not to mention the payments from the player base.

It's a shame, I really like this game, especially since it's primarily in the mobile (phone) version.

I am writing to express my absolute frustration regarding the update from this past Tuesday.
The constant changes to the Vengeance Event requirements are unacceptable. STFC is a game of strategy and long-term planning, yet you continue to move the goalposts every few weeks. This makes it impossible to collect resources effectively and feels like a direct attack on the player base's efforts.
Furthermore, the changes to the Battle Pass rewards are a dealbreaker. Removing the ability to choose specific materials at the end of the pass has destroyed its value. This was the primary reason I, and many others, purchased the pass in the past.
To be clear:
I will no longer purchase the Battle Pass under these current conditions.
Your constant "rebalancing" is sabotaging the gameplay experience.
The shift towards a pure "pay-to-win" model, disregarding loyal long-term players, is obvious and insulting.
Stop sabotaging the players' progress. We invest time and money into a strategy that you destroy with every new update. I expect a return to fair and predictable event structures.

I can farm a lot of 61s, but, at 20 parts per hostile, and needing 95k parts to do a refine, and then I see the refine saying "Chance" for various amounts, it is not going to happen

Choice Recruit Tokens, Choice Rewards were highly applauded features. It gave players the chance to determine what officers and rewards were helpful for them at their stage of play. It also prevented the devs team from repeating programming the wrong material/rss emphasis in battlepass (something talked on this discord, which seemed to have led to Choice Recruit).

Other events were well received. Call of the Ascendant 1.0. Even after it was nerfed, the version we got was still generally seen a net plus. Alliance Tournaments also a plus throughout, especially since player could help each other. (1/2). ⬇️

I could probably propose viable alternatives to the dumb changes in CotA/Tourney/Choice Tokens examples with lifecycles that could:
a) continue to diversify revenue streams
b) keep engagement
c) protect the things that players actually like
d) … without tarnishing those wins.

Why are those people making it harder on themselves to make money? Their moves treat their players with contempt.

I’ve played this game for a long time. I’ve done write ups to help team mates get the most of their paid or free experiences. It’s definitely boosted engagement.

But… I’ve never recommended this game to a rl friend or family member. There’s plenty of Trek nerds in that bunch. And most teammates are the same way. Precisely because how much and how often the wrong lessons are taken and implemented.

Please pass this along to GM Connor and Dev Team as one (maybe many) player’s viewpoint on the state of the game.

I forgot to mention that if you succeed at a 10k task, you get more refreshes auomatically, based on the presumption you paid to complete it or got very lucky on the dice. Thus, choice rewards were nerfed, and refreshes because that's unfair to those that paid, except that anyone buying packs to complete rewards had a surplus of overlimit refreshes that went unused and those could be used to help f2p. Can't be having that!

There has not been a need to "buy packs" or do a single Mat task in Tournaments for a LOOOONG time, you can do all your 15 tasks just with the collectable tokens to get Ex Borg Credits or Temporal Disruptors from Artefacts... which still took some rerolling. Guess now it will be 20 spawns of the only for pay stuff like a zillion Syndicate Points or 10k Planetary Tokens for each 1 of the tasks people really want to solve.

I'll put it like this: If you enjoy it good for you but scopely has decided that punishing players for progressing is the best path to go. The higher your ops the more money they expect you to drop to not make the next loop a big pain be it by needing to buy more building packs or more packs to tier the brand new specialty ship or whatever.

@queen jolt I understand that sometimes it is necessary for people to be told to contact support for well support due to a bug, issue, etc. When this happens would it not be helpful to give people the exact path through the bot that will get their issue raised correctly? As otherwise people have to navigate what is a very opaque support chat thing that often ends up with a "this is a known issue and we care very much" type of message
