I have a lot of sympathy for product managers, designers, and developers who have their hands tied behind their back by their finance department. There are limits to what they can do. That's not to say there aren't avoidable and boneheaded mistakes. There are. But we keep supporting it.

When's the last time you saw the user group try to organize to shake the Scopely tree? The people doing the work know there's a problem. The roadmap document says that clear as day. Scopely sucks at emplementing events. I've contributed to all milestones when related to the maverick fight XALB and have not gotten a score, not once.

Also there was a 12 hour or so period when the tasks reset, while the previous xalb was running, before he new xalb started. If your alliance completed the material task before the new one started, the points would've been assigned to the prior event.
