Any ship can get them. Unfortunately it’s very very hard due to hazards. Would need to beam them before you die I did it. Had nx01 watching system. Friend went in. I jumped in, beamed and died. Got the loot 😀

I really dont know how to express to you just how truly terrible the Akira is.
I get the "Im a collector" thing. But getting the Akira now will hold you back, getting it later down the road when its inconsequential would probably be a better idea.

You can use the NX to reach like 90% of the places you'll need to go.
The G6U ships need really heavy investment to actually pay off. You'd actually just be better off investing in your specialty ships and then saving all the mats/rss/parts you would have spent on the Akira for later down the road.

Theres also a special CT that increases loot drops from Gorn.

You can use any hostile crew on them. There's no need to delay gorn shots, they're just regular hostiles. Due to inflation, they're extremely weak compared to modern ones.

I don’t know who needs to hear this at Scopely HQ, but the game right now is running slower than a garbage truck being dragged uphill by a one-legged Targ with asthma.
The moment I log in, everything immediately turns into a slideshow. Ships stutter across the screen like they’re trying to communicate in Morse code, the UI freezes so often I’m starting to think it’s a feature, and the “Game Not Responding” banner pops up more reliably than half the officers in the roster.
Restart the game? Sure, I get maybe two ships onto nodes before the whole thing seizes up again like it’s allergic to functioning. Trying to run events is a full Olympic sport now — but with more restarts and more disappointment.
And don’t even get me started on the red WiFi symbol. That thing is popping up more often than Latinum pop-ups in the store, and I’m sitting here on a perfectly clean, rock-solid fiber connection. My internet isn’t the problem — your client is.
So genuinely… what exactly is going on over there? Because this isn’t “lag.” This isn’t “performance issue.” This is the game actively refusing to play itself. It’s beyond a joke at this point. You can write as many State of the Game essays as you want, but players actually trying to play are stuck watching the game buffer itself into oblivion.
