Officer efficency from research or favor, if you're below the base threshold to unlock an officer, it will bug out for away team assignemts and ship placement, you have to go into the officer page and then back to te other screen to get them to work.

(the main block for late starters to catch up with well established players is lack of officer badges to improve our officers). i have an account that cannot even kill an entry level aggreagation (35) ship cos my officers are too weak because i cannot promote them due to lack of officer badges. the faction hunt event is usually an in between arcs event so its not like its a daily or weekly thing. for more established players (whales and so on they could use those badges to promote officers that they pay real money for), it might help retain newer players also so servers can entice newer players to replace those who quit. Call it a minor easy to fix quality of life improvement that would help retain players.

You still need 100% to shoot the beam, but since you need to kill more of the same stuff as before, it takes longer to reach. You can avoid this problem by hitting larger targets.

A better trick is to build 2 cubes. Keep one lower level, and get the beam research. Makes it really easy to fill up and zap if you're farming fuel.

so tiering from t13 to t14+ means you need to hit a bigger hostile/armada... it was great before when doing solo's with vindicator for that event and beam some regular hostiles from the charge... arrrgghhhh

Think of it in terms of flat numbers. A cube needs 100 charge to fill up, and that's its max capacity so 100%. If it kills a hostile worth 100 charge, then it's 100% off of one kill. When it levels, the amount of charge needed to fill up increases, let's say 500 now. The same hostile kill is only worth 20% now.

it becomes better with higher level, at the start of the game its rewarding to hunt, that will change later on... yeah, you could save some time by farming other miners, but tbh, why farm others when you can mine it yourself in half an hour?

so yeah, late g3 or lets say ops 32+ will become way more peaceful

g2 is more or less the tutorial and wild west where most players not really know better

plus if you see that no matter how many miners you attack you never get anything because the save cargo explodes, the motivation will fade as well

The point is that if someone is unshielded when maintenance hits they don't have to wait around for it to end so they can shield. Making it 2 hours is pointless. Imagine you're just about to head to bed and shield up and maintenance hits... Now you gotta get up in 2.5 hours just to shield.

Yes they exist so that if you can't get on during the maintenance or just after you have a shield protect you but if you see that the gold shield won't work for you you can fix the problem yourself

Its an Evisceratorv issue, if you send Disco through and use that to pull your ship through it won't get recalled. Its annoying but it is a work around.
