Not sure about that. Wouldn’t we have had to kill the same number of hostiles but it wouldn’t have been death every 4th hostile? That was something like 93 hull repairs to complete the event. I’m just glad I’m not ops 69-70. It was painful enough trying to do the event at ops 66 with a target score of about 5700 but the 24k target for the biggest would have been horrible. It would have been ignored 🙈

the new hostiles aren't even that bad it's just a gimmick with your building level
once you level your building the new hostiles are actually stupidly easy
and the amount of loot required from the hostiles for the refinery is minimal and you can farm with max loot crew
the problem is the refinery sucks the refines don't give enough loot to use on the other pulls
needs to be a double pull option for refining the hostile loot but knowing $copely they will make it a prime if they do that

pretty sure it's just 'slap something that resembles some sort of non-mining crew' on 'whatever ship or ships you want' and crash them into reds until boom, it's not the hostiles doing dmg that kills you, it's the special ability, you're going boom too soon for crew choices to really matter, no matter what you do.

No way is the Khan's champion a fix/improvement. It's incredibly tedious to run a batch of them, and they added a cooldown on the cycle so it's even longer. Sure, it might avoid some rare problem, but I never ran into it and the change is a terrible nerf.

if i were you, and i'm not if i was thinking on camping and catching up, I'd want to be 46 to get a g4 rare and then play a big game of catchup, that may be way out of the possibility though.
that 46 ship can carry you to 52 though, where you'd have a tough time with using a 42 to do it.

If you are f2p the treasury isn't going to help you. You will have G2, G3 mats in their, even as a G6 player.

I thought the idea behind giving ops 44 and lower different event calendars was partly to help ease/speed up progression pain points, doesn't not even giving them the option of a treasury remove some of that given its such a huge source of lat/mats for alot of low spend/ftp?

The recent statement from the GM was pretty clear
- get to 51 if you want new content. No new stuff for 30s and 40s
- 45 to 50 got a 1 time new stuff this month (probably because they had already coded it)
- G5 scrapping is on indefinite hold (my guess is too many low spenders are closing in on the whales stuck at 70. Need G7 to drop so the big spenders can get some breathing room from the riff Raff)

Scopley is very stingy with free rss of any kind. Always have been. If they gave g4 players any extra events, they will balance the scales elsewhere. It’s what they do.

Now that is something different. If you are a spender then there's a lot of lat in any treasury - esp. for G3, G4, G5. Maybe it doesn't matter much for G6.

Thats kind of my point, it feels counter productive to the stated aims. If its just this extra treasury thats missing that is more palatable, if its all the treasuries this month that seems a very odd choice.

The heroic meta isnt meant to be finished f2p. The new ft spend heroics score for the meta. Its in the description of the events.
