Re: Flashpoint... who told the devs people want more new content and new dynamic resources and storylines, i think they are dreaming up these "players in the community" that want new stuff -- after all if they keep churning out new unwanted, non-trek content, it is job security since they later have to spend months patching it up so the game can hobble along. If scopely's upper management and beancounters were smart they would bring in an outside efficiency assessor and trim the dev team by a substantial amount, IDIC only works for a 45min tv episode once a week, not a game where people log in daily
I literally couldn't give a single flying... about storylines during arcs, i tap away the screen as fast as possible to make the story go away, never once in 6+ years have i read any of it -- not to mention when they send you into new areas like EE augment, who has time to read mission text before blowing up from a hunter
It'll never happen but someone could dream of nearly all the active players on a server refusing to engage the new content or at least do the absolute bare minimum to get thru the battlepass and that's it, make them regret wasting time developing new random content, ie: no return on investment if people stop playing/paying along

did you not look at the community feedback survey they did? it was all about asking specific questions towards their goal of making new content to bias there already biased decisions towards "yeah players want what we are shoving in their faces they told us so".

Actually players have asked for things like this, but the players have also asked that they fix all the bugs and prioritize bug fixes over new content. So far all of the content is very Trek. So I'm not sure where you're going with that... even galaxy quest is related to Star Trek because that movie is literally a parody of Star Trek

Actually a lot of people have been filling that out from what I've been seeing and listening to what people are saying on this discord server and the Internet, but there are also a lot of upset people who aren't filling it out.
Personally I like the idea of this arc. This whole idea was touched on in the TV series strange new worlds .
That said, I'm worried because with all of the existing bugs, all of these new changes will basically blow the game apart, and it won't be very functional after the new arc (worst issues and downtime when wok pt 1 came out)
Only agree that this current arc has been way too "grindy," but hopefully this new arc will not be so grinding and a lot more engaging.
In a nutshell, they are shooting themselves in the foot by constantly turning out new content without fixing the bugs. That could lead to the game completely collapsing and being unplayable for days or a week at a time until they fix the problems

It was originally designed to fight the Borg yes, but my point is throughout Ds9, that's not what it was used for. The Borg threat had decreased significantly, and the ship ended up being mostly used to fight off the dominion. The Borg were never a thing in Deep Space 9. They made a brief appearance in the original episode, but that is it.
That "Borg" fighting prototype was shelved and put away until it was later brought out and reworked on Deep Space 9 with a cloaking device.
This is why my earlier statement I said the defiant that you see in the game was not primarily used to fight the Borg. Its original purpose may have started out that way, but it performed like garbage. So it was put away, brought back out, given a cloaking device, and used primarily against the dominion

Actually, Windows 3.0 was a 16 bit operating system as well. Even Windows 3.11 "enhance mode " could run on a 32 bit CPU, but was still mostly 16 bit. Only windows 95 completely embraced/utilized 32 bit CPUs fully.

I get it. The nx01 loop is the one loop that can mess you up early. Not forgiving on punching up to early.

That's what the leslie crew was designed for. You punch up and fill your cargo in one fight and are sent home to launch another ship. Punching up is how it fills so quickly.
