With all the layers in this game, the difficulty compounds quickly when a value changes, and I seriously don't think they actually follow every calculation out to the final result. i.e. if you make each step 20% harder, the final difficulty is higher than 20%, I don't think people grasp this.

i think p1ata's are currently too difficult for most people; I think that's probably intentional to get people to focus more on leveling more officers & getting more officer stat boosts instead of steamrolling it day 1.

Especially considering some of it is chance, it's not like players get to pick which officers they get shards for. And I doubt many have enough patterns to max an epic.
To set the difficulty properly, they'd have needed to do probability calculations to determine how likely it is a player would be able to get the required officers for each ops level.

I suggested rolling starts, not that they would listen to me. Unless your IT systems are way overpowered, it's going to cause severe issues starting anything all at the same time. Even large mainframes don't run everything at the same time.
And by way overpowered, I mean something like 1000% over your max user load, that kind of overpowered.

Look at the number at the top when looking at your ship and click on it. It should tell you or go to the scrap yard and click on the ship. But it should be this first one is at tier 5 than 10 then 15

The disappointing thing on pretty much all the specialty ships as a G6 player is you're not going to be able to hit your normal range without spending a lot of time/$$$ to get it up in tier.

First off.. a faction ship.. will always smash a specialty ship.. there is a reason the faction ships cost faction credits and require you to work your butt off for rep.. They are far superior than the "specialty ships" that are really only there for the refinery..
