I’ve enjoyed other arcs. This one has to be the worst they’ve done in the 3/4 years I’ve been playing. Terribly executed, horribly grindy, terrible payouts, clear money grabbing, and most importantly NOT fun which is the whole point of a game.

From a Developer's PoV, I think it comes down to poor merging of new code into the master source code, and not properly testing the merged code before going live. Some additional QA testing on a staging server the week before go-live would make a BIG difference in that case.

Thought on the new Reliant. Possibly one of the most iconic ships from the franchise, and Scopely yet again, fails to understand the franchise, and fracks it up, like usual. Its really Franklin 3.0, another yet again one trick pony. Its a ship I can see being used for this arc, and then it gets mothballed, like the Franklin. Only 3.5m out of the gate is a complete joke. Huge miss and not really surprised, figured it was going to be yet another HUGE lunch-bag-letdown, from a design team, that really, proves time and again, they have lost all touch with their target market. Way to go, pat yourselves on the back for yet again, another dismal failure Scopely and Tiger.

i don't disagree that they really need to ditch the 'useless outside a loop' thing and switch to having specialty ships be as capable as regular faction ships but with an additional bonus for the loop-specific stuff. that said, it's 3.5mil out the gate because it's intended to be available early on in the game. (ops26). the starting power isn't an issue, it doesn't really matter. what matters is how it scales as it gets levelled and players progress further up ( and that remains to be seen, give the whales at least a few hours to max it so we can find that out, eh ).
