I am curious as to how other servers are adapting their ROE to deal with the addition scopely have made with the bonuses on leaving mining nodes. As it is now possible to be hit UPC yet once youre hit the bonus pushes you OPC there is a loophole in the current rule most servers use

OPc is OPC. It's irrelevant how you become OPC. If you get hit on the way back to your station while OPC, you need to invest in better impulse engines

noo you miss the point. At present I am sat on a node with 84k of concentrated lat in my hold which means I am 30k or so UPC. If someone comes along now and hits me they are technically breaking ROE.however with the new bonus once the attack starts I am 22k opc which means no breach occurred. So if roe isnt violated because after trhe battle the report shows your OPC we are going to end up with sorry I was speculating you was OPC on leaving the node and also means leaving miners out overnight is gonna stop

Probably discuss it with your own server rules. Most servers have similar OPC rules. Not aware of one having a Speculated OPC rule. Some servers don't have any rules at all and at the beginning of the game you are informed that mining is dangerous.

Even without rules, players are told that if they are attacked and all cargo is protected, they won't lose anything, which isn't true with these bonuses.

The issue is Scopley's developers taking the easy way of calculating the bonus after you leave the node, rather than while you are on it.

Basically it gets done at the end because it requires less code modification, and to heck with being accurate.
