Until first scrap, you can use Sisko Miles Lorca - or if you have high tier Torres, Picard Beverly Gwen or even Picard Beverly Tolra with Torres below deck. Note that latter two do not have any natural crit chance increase, so you need to use Cerritos / Defiant / Titan buffs to get critical chance up

Up near 60, absolutely. I’m 53 and have only done a couple BPs and the cheap research slot. Which is why me being in a bracket makes no sense. You can be f2p in 50s, you can’t be f2p in the 60s.
