The NX is a relatively closed ecosystem of benefits to itself, with some favours in the exborg stash that are helpful in other areas and certainly in some of the “loop bypass” boxes it helps massively (I don’t mine isogen any more, for example).

That said, the NSEA with a bit of extra effort provides some really good out-of-loop advantages, for example the voyager and stella boxes are way, way better than the exborg ones propped up by the NX.

Conversely, the Mantis box is rubbish under Mirror.

Basically, you need them both, the one I’d go for first depends how much isogen mining or Actian grind upsets you at the moment vs how much Voyager or Stella takes of your time.

Well the Protector is a lot more versatile than the NX outside of its loop. It scales really well and you can even use it as your main ship, if necessary. The NX has almost no shield, its only saving grace outside of the Xindi loop is the huge warp range favour.

The NSEA can also be used to grind faction rep & credits in the MU, which speeds up general game progression.

Ideally you want both ships, for different reasons, but if you had to pickle only one, I’d go Protector.

What I think is that until Scopely changes the (raiding) scoring, Incursion will get worse and worse, because as players progress and accumulate even more basic rss, one (or couple) leaks affect the score so much that even more will stop participating and/or get frustrated by it.

So I tought of one thing. Is f2p able to progress in the game ? I know at 50 one building can take like 7 years to build. Obviously nobody will waiut that long, so you use latinum. 7 years speed up is over 500k latinum. Question is can f2p acquire that much or get speed ups to be able to progress at this level ? I don't have problem to spend little on the game, but if core f2p can't acquire those then population of high level players will be low and game will lose population. Which means p2p players at high ops will be dealing with eachother only, and there will not be support of f2p player base. Lower population is less popularity for the game, which directly translates into income because there will be less potential p2p players.

63 F2P here. It can be done but is a full time job. My advice? Leave. At worst stay at max 30 mins a day to say hi to your friends. If you have none, leave. Every year they add more till there is no time left in your day. If you will never work and have no real life friends, sure play away. This used to be a simple cell phone game but not so much anymore. They keep piling on more till their YouTube content creators are even saying, just don't do it. They've put in too much. Funny thing is they will blame you for doing it if you say stop.

This game is unfixable. No game experience at all because of the constant bugs that have been here for 3 years and have not been addressed! I know, I came back after 3 yrs. Someone wrote here earlier defending Scopely that they do fix bugs but it takes time. Well, not if you have so expensive ingame purchases and want ppl to purchase them. If I as a dev would offer such a product at work, I would be fired long time ago and nobody would pay a squat for it. And maintenance during a weekend, well thats something I cant accept as weekend is the time to play for majority of ppl. Howg.
