If you're referring to the unstable discoveries meta sms. Each event is worth 100 points, there are 20 events needed to complete the meta. There are 23 events you can do ops 10-39 and 23 events you can do 40+ So you can afford to miss 3 of them and still complete the meta.

1-2 minutes was original, 22+ minutes was the change to "fix it" originally, 2-9 minutes was the change because of the complaints, 22+ minutes was put back in during arcfall "by mistake", and 2-9 minutes is what they're supposed to have reset it back to after the maintenance.

I don't understand the Gorn Hunter event Unstable Discoveries: Fractured Hegemony. I killed level 60, and 61 Gorn Hunters in Nerokira hours ago, but I have no score in the event. The event specifically says L60 and 61 Hunters should score 3400 and 5500 points, respectively. I killed them 3.5 hours ago, so this doesn't seem to be lag. I woudl like to kill even higher levels, as I will have to kill about 58 hostiles to finish the event with just level 60s.

Thanks. I'll try there. I haven't been there yet. I will note that technically the ships there are not "Gorn Hunters". They are Pteran, Acrocanth and Macronyx. Would seem to be a pretty badly worded event when it says "Score in this event by destroying Gorn Hunters" But thank you for the tip. I'm warping there now.

There is a real disconnect between the overlords impression and the reality of trying to herd players within alliances in groups of 5 only, to be online at the same time ( our server is 50% usa eu players despite being apac) of suitable ops and the ability to sit online without doing anything that puts cargo of value in a ship lest it gets transferred to the arena.
Not mentioning the players that are mathematically locked out altogether.
Top 5 alliances on servers are finding it oppressively difficult.

nobody said you can only be part of 1 team, so as long as there are more than 5 players in a specific range they should be able to go into the arena... it will be weekly, many teams will only join to afk their stuff for the refinery while others will do everything all the time to only find out that it will not get any easier

Any Alliance member with an Operations Level of 40+ can create a Squad.
Note that only players that are within 7 Ops level of the Squad Leader can join the Squad.

Matchmaking in any game is a challenge, and in this there is no data on day zero to go further than “ops level”. As the feature matures matchmaking should improve, although with APAC being a much smaller pool I do wonder how good it can ever be.

It shouldn’t ever match up a groups whose band is 53-64 with a group who has a higher band regardless of MMR though. Should just hand them the win right away and move on and save everyone 10 minutes

The problem such a specific “must only” creates is then you have no match available.
Which means no loss reward of a third of your max pull. Or a whole single pull.

Put this way, from what I’ve seen, you can join AFK and lose three times and you can still max pull your refinery, having expended no time. And as the data set improves and matchmaking matures, your ability to get these things will improve.

The thing is, and please don’t hurt me CMs for saying this, I was on the mod team when they talked about instanced PvP and how they wanted to put that on the roadmap. And I sat there filled with dread, wondering “how can they screw it up”.
Here we are, and aside from a couple of things that need a bit of improvement and matchmaking that just needs maturity… I actually quite like what I saw.

The good part about inheritance is that one fix propagates and fixes every other issue that reuses the code. Funny what’s scopely engineer take would be .
