Shop will be extended, rewards are on their way at some point.

There is an update that supersedes that one, that makes no mention of timeframe. Shortly is a relative term, and in this game… who knows.

Yes, definitely. They could have made the trivia easier (such as going with the way Lewb does it) with better prizes (like at least an in-game avatar) but overall it was an effort by Scopely to have a little bit of fun with the community.
