It’s a long way from perfect, and there are plenty of things that irk me in a number of ways from the “even the paid track of the BP doesn’t get the first milestone of the heroic SMS for the Nova Squadron building” through the “it shouldn’t take a million lat to max Chen” to “the grind path for some ships is truly appalling”, but if you stop focusing on the cost for those things and focus on having fun with the game, it hurts a whole lot less. Yes, I ultimately spend less this way but I feel like I’m getting value from that, even if compared to some of my peers my doohickies are lacking.

FWIW, I spent almost everything I had in the first event, only managed 5th, and that's after saving for it. Didn't go as hard as I could have on the 2nd, because I believed there was a 3rd coming, so I didn't need to rank as high. Would have pushed harder this weekend to get the unlock had it been announced sooner that the 3rd weekend wasn't going to be her.
