BUT... if I put in the kind of effort that is required to rank high or even win the fatu krey killing SLB or the other events that reward this currency so I get a lot of it... why am I then being punished by not being allowed to spend it??

It just gets very resource-intensive and there aren't a ton of efficiencies or high availability of materials for G6 yet. When they have a G7 then they'll do what they did for G4/5 and drop a ton then. That's when I'll move quickly. But I'm not setting up direct deposit with Scopely for pixels.
