@queen jolt Can scopely please explain the logic behind something to me? Why does Apex Barrier research and officers work in STATION ATTACKS but Apex Barrier research doesn't work for STATION DEFENSE? Between Iso defense, and Apex Barrier and now TAL not working against players ships who are using G6 equivalent ships due to his ability only working for 60 and below our ability to defend has been diminished down to basically nothing. That doesn't factor in the prime that delays ships and station attacks 100% of the time which not even PON did that for station defense and when it did you nerfed the ability to use the Jellyfish so it stopped working 100% of the time because people cried about it but the prime is okay since it generates money for scopely. Plus you add in all of the crit reduction, damage reduction, etc research that whales have maxed out or bought primes for and I hit them like a wet noodle. When are your light spenders or f2p going to have some kind of way to defend against whales or at the very least scratch the paint? Keep in mind I am ops 59. So its not like I am not a higher ops player myself but the power difference and research difference of those well into their 64+ is obnoxious and impossible to deal with.

scopely only has one mission.. to get ppl to spend. g6 just proves it again with the huge power creep there.. if they wouldnt nobody would go g6. the big whales spend a ton to be able to pvp abuse ppl 10 ops levels lower ;p and whales is all they cater too.

The best feedback I used to give to Scopely was feedback that spoke to the individual player’s experience, without sweeping generalisations.
It makes it much easier to make corrections that improve that experience.

@heady moon the wave defense SMS using a battleship and interceptor really needs to be changed. Considering some people MUST bring Voyagers and in the bigger ones NX-01, both being explorers. With the special hostiles in these waves, specific ship types should not be in the calculation.

Kind of eye opening, even though I know I am missing some things. Some 'to-do's are quick, like a Titan boost and 'use an exo', but others are significant time crunches. Also added things which I haven't really been doing due to the time needed. Left "freeze and restart 5-10 times a day" off the list even though this can eat a bunch of time.😑

so if you are able to kill the 38er mirror targets with some of your ships, be it monaveen talios or even a g3 epic enterprise you can finish the sms with doing two solo waves clearing what you can

Simply put, armadas and armada directives are best kept until you can start 38 rare and 39U, where the starter box will reward you handsomely

Hands down the turning point in my game was @waxen flame and @vital latch carrying my drunken Mayflower through big armadas.

You will need a good armada crew, at 23 that will be Kelvin Kirk and Kelvin Spock most likely and I’d say if you can sidecar Gorkon then great.

You can't do solo armadas until ops 35 (Dominion and Borg spheres first, then Automated shipyards later with the monaveen), though you can do regular armadas solo earlier than that.
Rule of thumb, with early available crews and research, you'll want ships from your alliance with a totalled up power equal to around 50% of the power of the group armada. As you get stronger crews and research... that can slide down to 25 or lower (meaning hitting higher armadas is possible)

How's that even possible? 1500 pts to complete at 50 pts per hostile that's 30 hostile. Roughly 10 hostiles per wave. Are you saying your team is so trash that you can't survive 3 rounds?

Yes, even with high multiple mid ops 50 players, the farthest we've gotten is wave 3.
Besides I can barely kill but one or two ships once wave 2 starts. So I'm lucky to hit 10 hostiles per entry, once those bigger players swoop around and clean up. Survival does no good if I can't hit anything after wave one.

I had myself (49), a 55, 49, 44, 46 and we managed to reach wave 4.

My Voyager is t4, 9.4-ish million. It MIGHT kill on of the 8472. Same with my Monaveen and the Texas in wave one... I know from experience a wave two Texas kills it even with nearly full hull.

I probably need to improve my s31 Wave favors but I don't know how much that would help in the long run. Not in time for this arc, anyway. I got the first level on a few of them but never focused on it cause I was doing waves out of necessity, not for fun or to advance s31.
My best is either my 20.8M K'Tinga or 24.6M Mona... K'Tinga is a little heartier than Mona cause it's loaded with research. Next best is all the way down to my 15.6M Talios.

There's 2 in wave one and I think 2 in wave two... and I've only even seen wave 3 once. I could put a speed crew on my Tally and guarantee I hit those, so it could reduce what my Tinga needs to hit to get enough points. So worth a shot for sure. Just SOL till I get more Ciphers in a couple of days.

Cannot confirm that that is the same pack, and I would urge caution as the way the game is coded can often remove your ability to buy both researches going forward
@queen jolt may be able to help.
Basically if it isn’t the right one, you’ll lose the ability to buy the second level of that pack because you haven’t met the research requirements, and you’ll lose the ability to buy the right pack for your the research you did because you didn’t buy the first pack.

Guess it depends what you need to do. If you can keep both your ships in close proximity, it’s easier. Soon as you’re trying to cover both an edge and stray hostiles, it’s hard to see both.
