She was replaced even in the old meta, the Weyoun and Dukat crews buried Freeman

It was just that Freeman was more one-size-fits-all

But like Pon shuts down all the crits and Weyoun fires more shots so that beats her, and Dukat both critted more and did more shots so beat it on two front. She only really beat out the Battleship one

Yeah I think they need to be high enough, but a lot of people will have tier 4 or 5 Pon and Garak now

The main thing seemed to be Freeman increases shots by 100%, Weyoun increases it by 100% each round for 2 rounds, and then Dukat increases shots by up to 50% every time you get hit for 5 rounds so it can end up like 5x as many

the other big thing I found was if your Lorca doesn't fire in round 1, you just die immediately

but the other guys fire 100% of the time

Freeman was brought into the game long, long (around a year!) AFTER Weyoun/Dukat 😏

It depends on how long the fight goes, freeman can kill a Dukat crew before he has time to ramp up for eg. Weyoun Pon ransom is a good counter, but more people have freeman than ransom, and ransom has no sourcing so if you don’t already have him you can’t use that crew.

But When she was introduced after first, Billups and Ransom weren't available yet. So she beat Weyoun-Pon-Ikitaka and Dukat-Garak-Damar, but once people could acquire Ransom and Billups over the next couple of months, she consistently lost to Dukat-Garak-Billups and Weyoun-Pon-Ransom.
The other factor is Isolytic defense, when they were first introduced no one had defense so Isolytic was brutal, the longer things went the more defense people got so the meta has shifted to favour longer fights, making Freeman worse and worse because she basically needs to win in 1 round

Yeah, the length is the important thing, fights have gotten longer, and so in a 3+ round fight she never gets any better, but the other officers all get better and better

the Waves i think helped too, because now people have Tier 5 Garak, Tier 5 Pon etc... when that was hard before

Good evening Eco. I'm having a bit of a debate with CS and I was wondering if you could give some insight on how to tackle it. There's a research that says "increases the payouts and costs" with a specified percentage. In my view if the base cost is 1000 and payout is 100 then, assuming no other research affects it, a 100% increase would put it at respectively 2000 and 200, a 300% increase would put it at respectively 4000 and 400,... Is that a conclusion you would agee with?

No I just think they released something entirely different as neither the payout nor the cost scaling matches the tooltip. Only the epic shards from the trell-D seem to correctly follow the payout scaling while the rest actually seems to scale more than the tooltip indicates and the costs scale slower than the tooltip indicates before suddenly leaping at T4 and T8

I liked it. I feel it lets you know what to expect, similar to the realta, so you can crew creatively. And unlike the talios PvP, pretty much everyone’s got the same maxed number of below slots, and you don’t have as oversized matchups to keep it closer to crewing choice, and less Q building

I'm doubting that's the case since as far as I can tell (though perhaps they coded it wrong) only the refinery research tier impacts the payouts/costs, I haven't seen any impact from ops or the like. Assuming that it correct then even if the math is off the increase should be consistent for the different resources it generates since only the research multiplier should impact it. That isn't the case either though since the payout increases aren't consistent amongst the different things it can output.

NS has limited sourcing, only a partial unlock is available from missions. The rest of the bp can be obtained from an end of arc store, or from the cash shop.

It’s normally arc 3 or 4. Of a set. And they offer us more specific loot over mats etc and we can choose from a store full of bps/officers/ships/etc
