im not a fan of the event that was just announced. either you're <40 and have to upgrade buildings that are probably maxed for your ops or you're ops 40+ where you have to upgrade particular ships. One ship isnt f2p until October, one requires you to upgrade your FKR ships to particular tiers if you're not maxed already (which is likely) and dont get me started on the ship's sourcing, and the last ship is F2P but the upgrade requirements probably arent friendly for an event that we just got the details for.

2. did you get the G4 Epic? and if so, did you regret the effort put into it?
3. with the borg cube i've heard one person say that getting the G5 uncommon to a certain level also gives you the transwarp coil you also get for your G4 epic, is that true? or would I still need to eventually get the G4 epic to level up the borg cube?
4. how long roughly did you stay at 49 when you got there?

1. Get Rep to at least 1 bil for one faction, if not all 3. 2. Got a Tribune and love every second of it. Extremely useful for closing off the Bajor loop and has been extremely useful for all the new loops recently introduced. 3. You could skip... Though it would probably much easier and quicker to tier the epic g4. Borg cube updates based on getting a faction ship to a certain tier. Yes, scopes wants you to get all the ships and upgrade them. Or rather you could improve your account playing laterally... meaning don't climb fast but stick at a certain point and level ships and engage in the loops. 4. I didn't stay long, maybe 2 to 3 months. The g5 economy is much improved. Though I basically maxed at all I could at g4 and was more than ready to move forward. The g5 advancement was much easier, granted I spent the time to prepare for it.

I'm not saying to max all the specialty ships or loops.. but you def do hold your own a TON better if you've engaged and unlocked a good portion of it. If price is holding you back, there's a bunch here to keep you occupied for several months.

1. can you do your dailies? If so, push ops.
2. skip. They are not needed. Good to have but save the credits for a 5* unc.
3. birg cube will not come into its own until you are way way bigger. Skip.
4. push ops.

The only thing that matters is if you can do the events and dailies. If so, push ops. The talios/voyager, if level locked, can take you to a 5* unc and even a 5* rare. The unc is hands better than either. The 5* rare is the workhorse but you will have to get a 5* epic to push 60.
