hi I'm having problems launching the game on PC following the updates, I can open the launcher but not the game itself, does anyone have any advice on how to fix this bug?

First up I’d go for the age old restart the PC, failing that (making sure you have your ScopelyID to hand) a reinstall.

Once upon a time it didn’t remove itself completely and stayed signed in, if you still get issues that one might be worth a go but it involved registry diving so I wouldn’t rush into it.

So reporting a glitched Q trial hostile is virtually impossible. I have been trying for an hour between in game help and discord. There is literally no channel to freestyle a problem. Yes. After making a big effort to make the game stable around the time the Xindi were introduced to the game. The stability has gone downhill from there again. Most apparent on my tablet. Not just a today thing. Only positive thing I can say is the game doesn’t instant crash when the game loads a Xindi system like it did when the game reached peak instability. This was around the same time that waves became unplayable. Waves is still playable but it’s not as good after they finally fixed it. Post fix game never crashed during waves. Now it crashes once per session. At the game’s worst waves weee crashing once per round of waves for me on tablet.

Blame Apple 🍎 they deliberately make their products with faults, forcing you to keep upgrading. They where fined once for doing that with the battery 😂

iPhone 10 game is unstable as hell for me, but on my iPhone 15 it’s as smooth as it can be for a laggy game

Hmm I got nearly all my shards through the event store awhile back, there is some sourcing but it's rather slow which may be a concern for people who're first getting to the ops for the gorn loop

E-data is one of the officers along with some other rare officers I imagine many of us would like to be in the transport patterns

My reasons for saying it... You need like 600or so shards to max a rare... 1500 for epic.. We get 1 or so per pull a day. So sourcing is terrible

Though I still feel that officer sourcing overall is one of STFC's biggest issues between the diluted pools mixed with the lottery mechanic. Just splitting the premium and recruit packs up into say PVP/PVE/Utility/Mining for example would help a lot. A few weeks ago I did I think about 100 ultra pulls and barely got any of the shards I needed to tier an officer I was 95% of the way to tiering.

I would agree with that. I wasn't around when Tal was given out to everyone and it seems like he's pretty useful and the only sourcing has been a Treasury either at the beginning of this year or late last year. Feels like some officers just get put out and it's FOMO if you get it or not.

Ok, the lag has been pretty regular for the past few days at random intervals, right now most people on my server who are talking to each other can’t load a system or go from menu to menu without having to refresh the game.
Doing a refine can have a lag time of 20-30s at minimum, and up to a couple minutes at worst.

PvP is having ships get stuck, and more than one armada has been reported as not going off.

Can't change crew and can't get out of my ship without restarting 😡 I see why this is happening.. It let me put an officer on my dock that was on a ship that needed repaired. THen kept erroring out

The thing I've been seeing the most is when I target a system, send my ship. It goes to warp. After a minute or so, it goes to 00:00 and then gets stuck. I reboot and my ship is sitting in my station.

Cos tier for tier there is no way for Tlaan to be better than Chen for Eclipse hostiles. The kinetic gun fires half as often and has no greater power than the energy weapon, so Chen acts on two thirds of the damage you receive and Tlaan on one third.

It’s why I love the CCs but I really dislike this tendency that started a couple of years ago to tell people what they needed to do, rather than giving them the information they needed to be able to understand the challenge.

Now nobody understands why crews are what they are, they just copy a web site or video or something and never look back at the science; and for stuff like Eclipse, Borg etc where research makes such a big difference, that can make a massive change in your ability in the loop.

Absolutely though between so many contributing factors of FC, research, ship ability, ... and no good way to track actual ingame stats I do struggle with it at times myself so I do tend to do a few runs to eliminate RNG influence and just reasoning what would logically work. Oh yeah, tracking down why can be a nightmare, but at least explaining what changes; like, “using X officer increases my DPS which means that I avoid the Round 10 widowmaker” and stuff.

Eclipse energy and kinetic damage are the same, just kinetic fires bigger shots in alternate rounds while energy fires every round. Chen is generally higher percentage reduction though, so better. Snw full synergy is actually better still though. You may be thinking of 35+ swarm which do kinetic:energy damage in 2:1 ratio?

1. Have Q trials spawn in the system you are based, not 1-2 spots nearby. It makes no sense and is just added busy work to fly around
2. Decrease the cooldown time on the voyager ability Advanced Sensors. Killing, then waiting, then repeat is very silly. Why can't we just summon if we want to?
3. Sliders in Artifacts Tab. Dear god, how awful it is to Slowly convert your extra artifact shards to artifact remnants. Painful. I mean why the system doesn't autoconvert them is beyond me, but at least add a slider
