Finishing up dailies and calling it. I have no desire to play right now. Forced pvp kills any enjoyment when you can't even get a shot off against a whale and they can 1 shot your base, with full ships home, and take less than 2% hull damage with the best base defense crews. The game has lost what it means to be star trek. Maybe in a day or two it will be playable, but right now...

That is because this is a resource management game that has pvp elements. That is why it has survived as long as it has. It can not be a pvp focused game. It is not built for it and can not be balanced for it and to set the game mechanics in place to make it pvp would make it a completely different game.

And yes, they are not forcing me to play. But they like my money and others. Supply and demand. And they are demanding we pvp, I will not supply it or my money. This is called feedback so they can decide if enough people will support it or not.

But they don't just need brakets, the need dmz zones groups of planets or sections of space for pvp interaction, and attacking players in a faction space, should have adverse effects on rep if that player is in good with the faction. Also the reduction in points gained in pvp for hitting downlevel are all arguments I've seen today.

The range, the scoring, the solar systems. It needs a complete rethink. I mean if you attack a high rep fed player in federation space wouldn't the federation not appreciate that, same for roms and klings faction zones. If you kill a high rep player with augments in augment space wouldn't that effect your rep with them. Those kinda things, or the dmz areas between the factions were faction patrols would be sparce as compared to core systems, wouldn't thos systems be more favorable for unseen pirate actions.

I honestly never used the MSF forums , despite having played the game for 2 years now , i just do my own thing at my own pace, as i will in STFC , i refuse to be a whale , i remember dumping thousands of euroes in games like ArcheAge and playing the box game , i just don't get any great rush sensation from spending money like that, then i'd much rather spend those 10k+ euroes every year on 2 luxury vacations somewhere nice and warm in a luxury hotel suite. I have found ways to use my time productively; I do a bunch of RL community work, build bikes, ride bikes, work out, be there for my family…. All fun stuff 🙂

It’s why I had to drop them all, and I felt terrible and that pain increased to the extent of coming back to say a proper farewell, but they’re also good people and understand it wasn’t them but it was me.

I took a like two month break last year and it was pretty nice honestly

That’s why I know if I decide to walk after this fiasco I’ll be fine

I don’t know we will see after this 7 day break

I’m still deciding on wether or not I’ll do my dailies, I’m thinking maybe I’ll log in tomorrow and try, and as soon as my ship is killed in PvP that will end my time on the game

I think we can all see where I stopped taking this seriously but carried on for trying to help the community and hang with friends, there’s plenty of my wholly inappropriate battle logs of ships that shouldn’t be able to kill what they killed. That novelty wore off as it’s an expensive pastime, making fun of the power creep.
