@terse jackal @lapis seal with 6* ships out and players pushing into the 5* more, how about making 4* ships easier to aquire. I have 1 4* rare that I bought with faction credits and not even half for any others. And less than 10% of 5* epics. And I am 55 with 1 upgrade left for 56. I have the faction and credits for a 5* rare. There is no logical reason for me to spend credits on 4* rares and epics. It would ne nice to aquire them faster. How about drastically lowering the cost of then in the away teams. 5ship bp for 3000 or drastically increase the ship bp in each epic chest. Give 1 per chest with guarenteed and a chance for 5-10 more per. Allow me to source them in say 3 months. You could even make it better by doing a stop bp only turn in for epic or rare chests.

To parallele this, please break out the voyager turns in to include 4* and 5* ship parts. My voyager only gives 5* parts whoch is where I am but there are no 4* sourcing anymore. We need more. Or add 4* ship parts to 5* ship part chests plesse.

Without spending real money, scrapping is the best way for ship parts besides bajoran solo armadas, I’ve been scrapping mayflowers, d3’s and legionary’s like crazy since I’m in the 40’s and it’s helped a ton getting my ships tiered up

I did a lot of that in early/mid 40s as well. Haven’t done any as a 50-something. Just takes too much effort to get meaningful amounts at this level. At least for the amount of effort I’m willing to invest.

The cost-benefit on scrapping really gets neutered, the higher you go. Need a 55 scrapyard to even scrap a 42uc. A max Kelvin nets you enough scrap for one component at T1 on a Northcutt…👀

at level 25 there is no good way for me to score. it's supposed to be a fun event? at least i thought it was. instead it discriminates against solo (single) players.
there is no way i can join a wave defense, so there is the first scoring mechanic obsolete, and the rest is group armadas, which take a ton of time and directives. the time value is not worth the reward. and there's no other scoring mechanic.

depends on what you aim for and what you and your alliance has in stock when it comes to directives
just be realistic, the last milestone really requires paying if you ask me... thats so many rare and epic armadas... and they have to spawn as well, and you have to get those spawns and a place in that armada... it is not possible for EVERYONE on a server, he** not even everyone in one alliance

Trying lower levels is an option too (it does chew up time) but if you are not getting enough cargo per run you can go lower and try to get a full cargo hold. More kills with less damage can mean more per transwarp cell, and since you only get two per day the total you can get any day is generally two full cargo holds.

Do speed research nodes not affect in progress builds? Example....I have the Academy upgrading (64 days) and I just did a research to decrease build time on station modules by 13% but saw no decrease in build time.

I need to complain about Voyager. The grind to unlock it was soul crushing. Everybody said "quick! Get it out! It's warp range is insane!" Turns out that's wildly false. Warp range 30 couldn't even feed itself. I had to use my Disco to carry it everywhere. After grinding the Voyager stuff all day, some guy blows me up mining an anomaly. Now I have nothing but a headache. What a waste of speed ups!

What ops are you? If you’re ops locked (below 40?) then yes, you may need to wait until you level up more to really benefit from having Voyager.

People weren’t lying though. Voyager at tier 7 can get me to warp 400+, while my best faction warship, a tier 7 Newton, can only reach ~ 230.

Voyager is also FAST at warp. Doing missions in deep space with Voyager takes less than half the time it would using a g4 faction ship.

You kill hirogen and every day you can turn in the stuff they drop to get up to 1,500 more scanner fuel.

It adds up quickly. Can usually kill enough 8472 to pull a double chest off the 3-day cooldown that gives other good loot.

Might take a bit of work to get it out of tier 1 level stuff, but that happens pretty quick. Stick with it a couple weeks 👍 Ship IS awesome

Janeway's going to increase your shield mitigation, the 80/20 damage split between shp & hhp. I don't think she's helping your ship survive better in that fight. I'd prefer Chakotay as captain for SAs.

Survivability is going to be an issue on a level 5 G5u, there's a lack of lower deck slots and you're using a crew that needs a lot of them for mitigation. I'd give the corvus the DS9 crew, Sisko + double synergy has great mitigation capabilities even with one lower deck slot. The talios can load up on stats to make use of Paris since it has 6 slots.

i honestly like running picard/bev/janeway on the talios. the isolytic boost is a niche for the borg solos because of the talios ship ability. reference-

janeway is allowing the talios to pack up a bigger punch ending the fight faster

I usually look for one other strong player to run waves with and then the last 3 slots I take smalls, we can usually get to wave 4 sometimes 5 so at least everyone gets some rewards, try to help my alliance members this way

Well if you are in an alliance... They should help you in waves for the 30-35... We just have our lower levels handle miners since they can be a pain to keep up with when hitting some of the larger packs too

But joining a random wave you will likely be booted cause you are not part of the alliance 🤷

But there is also a choice you make too.. Stay in the low 30's and not trying to progress and get stronger so 🤷

Once you hit 40 with a tier 9 Disco you can catch up all the G3 research in no time since you get 96 days of speed ups free week

plus parabellum gives you way more rare and like 20k lat... Also, a ton of other events you miss cause your ops isn't high enough..
